"I was shocked. First off, the quality and quantity for the cost ratio was unreal. Much of the food/ingredients are home made and you can tell. I was shocked by the menu prices; they truly are a two dollar pricing restaurant with 5 star quality food and service. We had the fried zucchini, tortellini champagne, and the steak Americano. I ordered medium rare and it was the juiciest pink temperature with perfect crisp searing. The service stood out to me the most. It is a family owned family run business, and you can tell by the personal touch that you get. Cari greeted us and sat us, and her brother Alex waited on us, and they were sociable, knowledgeable, and personable. They truly cared, and you could tell. I can't say I've gotten better service in as long as I can remember, and I work in the service industry. The family owns the restaurant and the wine shop next door. The restaurant itself is great. You'd be surprised looking at it from the street. It's right by espressos which is also great, but once you get to their patio it feels like you're sipping wine at a villa, and the inside decor is very authentic Italian. Comfortable booths and tables, with romantic low lighting, and the bustling noise of clanking plates and excited chatter. Great experience. I highly recommend! I was recommended by a coworker, and I am glad I gave it a try. Don't believe the negative reviews that are isolated incidents, those people missed out and didn't give them a chance to show their best. We will be back!"

"That place is claustrophobic! Its too cramped to be paying 16 dollars for a personal size pizza (that's the only size btw is 12 inches) that had all different shapes slices haha. Good luck using the bathroom and not getting wacked by the prep doors or being in everyone's way while they try to go to and from the back prep area. All the workers were super polite/nice about it but the point is that there is one bathroom for the whole place and it's in a tight awkward spot so if its busy in there you get to play frogger while you wait. The pizzas we got had a great flavor but the pizza was floppy and kind of hard to eat till you got closer to the crust. The shiitake mushroom pizza had a lot of oil on it so maybe that's why. We got the 3 way hummus plate and the hot dip was all over the feta, tomato and arugula so we couldnt eat it cause it was so dang spicy! Why not serve it all in ramekins or a better plate with sections? Very little pesto, the olives are halves and are a topping on the hummus not an actual item on the plate like it sounds in the description. For 12 dollars it was a bare minimum plate. It's really meant for one person. Our server was a very nice young woman and the place was busy for sure (on a wait when we left) but for that price point I expected more. Also why doesnt anyone in the FOH wear slip resistant shoes? One lady was walking around in some killer platform chunky boots (like 4 inches tall) which were pretty sweet but didnt seem appropriate for a restaurant job."

"When it is done right the food itself is pretty good. However, the customer service here is horrible. The last several times I have ordered from Cafesano the chicken kabob was dry and overcooked. The pita bread was also burnt and hard and impossible to eat with the hummus. It was absolutely inedible. So on March 29, 2022, I thought I'd give them one more try and maybe if I told the manager of my previous experience and placed an order with him perhaps it might turn out better. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was busy and couldn't speak to me. Since I was the only customer in the restaurant at 5pm I insisted to speak to the manager and was told I would have to wait. I responded by asking what restaurant would tell a customer that and was looked at with a blank stare and again was told he was busy. After 15 minutes the manager finally came out and I expressed my concerns about the food and service. I told him about my last experience at CafeSano and that I wanted to place my order with him. I told him I was hoping he would personally make sure the order was correct. He said he was too busy and couldn't do that. I told him that I had never experienced a manager who had so little concern for his customers and perhaps that was why no one in the restaurant at 5pm. I gave him one last opportunity to keep my business and he said nothing. He just turned and walked away.I left and will never go back. I don't know how a restaurant that operates with complete disregard for their customers can keep the doors open. Hopefully, my review can help others from having such an awful experience."
