"We always go to the Copper Kitchen for a special occasion or to bring people from the family. We've had always great experiences. Well, this one wasn't so much. The hostess did an awesome job. My congratulations to him. We got our beautiful spot. When we were having a chat this lady came and pour our water without saying a word. Like: NOTHING. We looked at each other surprised but we thought She must be the busser (My husband is a restaurant manager and we've both worked for the restaurant industry so we know what this is about). After a while, the same lady came to our table to take our drinks order. Happened to be the same girl who poured our water. She didn't acknowledge the fact that we were with babies (Something you would do at least while being fake to MAKE YOUR TIPS She only asked about drinks and right after if we had decided in our drinks. She did not take the time to introduce herself, or to explain the specials from that night. After waiting for a while, we saw our drinks going to another table and as it was the one next to us, I turned around and explained the lovely couple what was going on. We all laughed and she did apologized the other table when realized but never said anything to us. We had finally our drinks and appetizer which she never asked how it was. Then we asked for salt and pepper which went to another table again. We were SO looking forward to our dinner here and we did not bring home the best experience. What we can say is that we really like the food quality and that it is original. I have to say that I'm not sure If I will be coming back but what I do think is that the manager should be paying attention to their servers and recommend tips or training to those like ours that time. I even put a note as it was a special occasion (My moms death anniversary). There was NO interaction or care for our table. We usually tip more than what we're supposed to. Not this time. Too bad."

"The restaurant week menu featured 3 courses. An opening course that was both great tasting and imaginative. My table shared a wonderful goat cheese and beat salad as well as a lemon ricada dish. Would recommend both dishes to others. The second and main course was less impressive. Wagyu beef was very tender. But the sweet notes from balsamic vinegar and the coffee rub just didn't wow me. It wasn't the best steak I have had by a long shot and it was, with an addition 35$ fee, at substantially larger price then that steak. I will note that it was served with an interesting mushroom variant. but the mushrooms were rather bland alone or with the fairly subtly flavored steak. instead they were a good addition to the other main dish we had. Speaking of witch, the Bolognese was boring. Not bad, it was standard fair tasty Bolognese. Original pasta choice with large flat sections that were perfectly cooked. Not too much, not too little. A good sausage meat sauce and a small crumble of what might have been goat chease on top. It was good, and if it was at a standard restaurant for 20$ I would not turn up my nose at it, though I would not order it again. It was far beneath Provisional's price and quality bracket. This was their opportunity to wow me into coming back and it just wasn't impressive. Although the mushrooms from the Wagyu beef helped considerably. Third course was desert. And it was phenomenal. Both options of a deconstructed Tiramisu and a strawberry semifredo were well worth coming back to. I won't go into to many details but simply say I do recommend either, but with an emphasis on the strawberry. The opener and closer for the meal were spectacular, well worth the price. It was only the main course that felt like they went cheep on it. A sad miss for the restaurant. I would not recommend goin there at the price point given. Not when the restaurants surrounding it are so very good."

"*Celiacs Safety Within*While this is not a gluten free kitchen, this restaurant does it 's best to reduce cross contamination and have options on the menu that are not only celiac-friendly, but also delicious.Value: Great bang for the buckSummary:Flower Child is a great Counter Service style operation. The menu as very clear and they have simple, yet delicious options. I have had things I loved, and things that I liked less. But, I have never eaten anything bad. Staff is friendly, and the atmosphere isinviting and social. This is an encellent place to grab a meal without stretching your wallet.Food: Comes out quickly and is delicious. With a rotating menu, it 's hard to keep up all the time. But my favorites are: Steak, GF Mac and Cheese, Queso , and the green beansService: Prompt and friendly. Marked it down one star for one encounter regarding chips portion . We had way more queso than the portion of chips that we were given. When we asked for more chips, the staff member told us that we would have to pay for them and walked away. We wanted to finish the queso since it is one of our fav dishes. When I went to the counter to order, the friendly cashier said I 'll just go grab you some more. Which we found to be a very customer service driven approach. But other than this small infraction, every step of service is great!.This is going to be a staple of places I go to eat out. Couldn 't recommend it more!."

"Came here for a Valentine 's Day dinner with my husband and this was by far the worst meal we have ever had. We found Crush on yelp and saw such high reviews that we decided to make a reservations. We arrived 10 mins early for our 7pm reservation and we were seated right away. We were sat at a table right by a window and I had asked if we could possible be moved to the table next to us because I was cold and the waitress replied can you stay here, it would make things easier for me I am not one to pick a fight so I said okay even though I was clearly uncomfortable. Throughout the night not once did she ask if we needed refills or how we 're doing. My husband had to waive her down just to ask if i could get another drink from the bar. We placed our order right away (7:15) but did not receive out appetizer until 8:20 and our actual meal until 8:35. I completely understand the wait on such a busy night so even though it was frustrating to wait that long for food I understood because I also work with food. When our entrees finally arrived I could not believe how small the portions were and how extremely bland it was. My husband fettuccine Alfredo tasted so horrible, absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. It seemed as no effort was placed into a meal that took an hour to cook. I ordered the pesto shrimp and although the shrimp was some what enjoyable, the pasta itself was so unappetizing, again no seasoning. The only thing I can praise about this restaurant is the live music they had (the musician had and amazing voice and played beautiful music) and the quality time my husband and I had spent talking as we waiting for our waitress to give us any of her time. Save your coin and go to Olive Garden. Bigger portions with salad and breadsticks, better costumer service."

"Buttercup had a Dr's appointment in Newport Beach and I spotted Flower Child as we were exiting McArthur and new we had to eat there after the appointment. After reviewing the menu we both wanted the same thing the Mother Earth. Ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed with Tofu as the protien. We called in our order and were told 10 minutes wow I love how fast it was. When I picked up the food I was greeted by a very friendly staff and was just blown away by all the fresh ingredients that were being prepped, like the tomatoes were beautiful! She asked me if I wanted a drink or anything else, i declined she processed my payment and as she was doing so I immediately regretted this decision, there on the table behind her was Rose petal Lemonade!!! I knew I had to have this, and told expressed my sorry for not seeing it sooner. I gave her back my card and ordered the drink, and she told me don't worry I got you. That made my day, and created a loyal customer who will return. The lemonade was sweet and I am glad I just got 1 to share, but it was so good! We get home and our bowls are beautiful, portions are generous but not over the top. There was a good proportion of grains, avocado in relation to the tofu and greens etc. For my tastes the grains or something was little salty, but Buttercup didn't feel the same. It was probably just my preference for low sodium cooking. Over all the experience was excellent and the food was fresh and very good. Updated from previous review on 2020 07 09"
