"A couple weeks ago I headed to Stoke for some cocktails with a few coworkers. This was the first time any of us had been and we were pleasantly surprised. We learned that the establishment places a large emphasis on being a part of the community by using local ingredients and serving products from the surrounding area. Stoke offers many of the Charlotte and North Carolina beers which placed the state on the craft brewery map. Some of the beers on tap include NoDa Brewing Company, Wooden Robot Brewery, Triple C Brewing Co. and Wicked Weed Brewing. They also have a great list of unique craft cocktails. Many of the cocktails on their menu are old classics with a twist. We learned that one of these concoctions, The Uptown Sour, intrigued a Marriott executive so much that he jumped on a plane so he could try it for himself! The desire to use local ingredients can also be seen in their food. We had a few of their appetizers (pretzel brioche, beef bone marrow, crispy oysters) which were all amazing. We could tell that this group understands the importance of top notch service when the Director of Eat Drink, Sean Potter, delivered our appetizers to our table providing us with an informative description of the ingredients and preparation techniques. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. I loved Stoke's open kitchen design which compliments the modern yet welcoming atmosphere very well. Although the restaurant is located within the Charlotte Marriott City Center, this is definitely not your average hotel restaurant. Chef Chris Coleman is doing a fantastic job which has created national attention. Stoke was listed on USA Today's Top 20 Restaurants to Try This Fall (2016) and that's a well-deserved accolade. You should definitely add Stoke to your must try list in Charlotte."

"We came in for two filets, one medium rare and one medium well. We ordered almost immediately after being sat. Both took about 45-55 minutes to come out and once they did they were both undercooked. Very disappointing for how much the price point is here. Won’t be running back."

"The service was great. I reserved a table for 5 for a friend?s birthday and the waiter was extremely welcoming and nice. Unfortunately, the food was not that great. We had already spent nearly over 40 minutes to an hour waiting for our food and what I had was cold. I did not have the time to send the plate back because I did not want to give our waiter a hard time plus I did not feel like waiting again. The ceaser salad and drinks were probably the only thing I had that was good. I spent nearly $70+ on food and was disappointed. I would not recommend this place for anyone visiting Charlotte plus it was extremely cold in the building dark in the women restroom. I had to use a flashlight to use the bathroom which is insane. Overall, the service was great but the food was disappointing. You?re better eating somewhere else."

"This was this first time we have tried this Morton's and we felt that it was not as good as some of the other ones that we have visited. My husband's steak was excellent but my pork chop was a little salty. The lobster bisque was not the best and if we return I would not select it again."

"It was my granddaughter's prebirth day celebration, which became 21 in a few days. His father, stepmother and I celebrated this milestone at Morton. The food was extraordinary my breastbone in Steak, only I melted in my mouth. Mac and cheese with lobster was so delicious. My son ordered The Tomahawk, it was funny to see and he loved it. My daughter-in-law also loved her food. The service was very good. The lime cake was dying. I guess you can say we were very happy with the evening, food and service. You had also personalized the menu with my grand name. Great surprising touch."

"I had a party of 8 for dinner and everyone was very pleased with their meal. David was our server and was there as needed but not too much. Most of us opted for the 3 course Steak and Seafood dinner for $75 and this is a good deal for what you get. All of the food was high quality ingredients and cooked properly. Not too fancy but just good quality food. If I had any complaint, it would be that I thought it was a little too dark in the dining room. Really a very nice restaurant. Good job!"

"Incredible atmosphere and food. We went to Morton's last night. We had the bone in Ribeye, the Waygu, the fillet mignon, oysters, baked potatoes and lobster mash potatoes. Dessert with the house specialty lava cake. The bone in Ribeye was perfect. We had blue cheese on it. It's done perfectly to exact temperature asked. Fillet mignon was perfect as well. Waygu a la Oscar Rare.... Not great. It came medium, yet the foie gras rare to the point it's not edible. Though I asked them cook it once more, still not edible. I get Foie gras every chance I get and this is a poor experience. The Oscar topping wasn't good. The crab meat isn't seasoned into the sauce. Raw Oysters are great. I recommend that. And as well with the lobster Mac and cheese and baked potato."

"Dined at Morton’s the Steakhouse in Naperville this evening and it was excellent. I started with the Maine Lobster Ravioli as an appetizer; the bits of lobster, mushrooms and what looked like Brussels sprout leaf in the sauce was phenomenal as was the ravioli themselves. Next course was a wedge salad with plenty of accessories! If I had one complaint, may have been a bit much dressing for me but still delicious. Next was Wagyu beef filet and roasted asparagus; the steak was seared to perfection and a beautiful medium rare topped with compound butter it melted in my mouth. The asparagus was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Before dinner my server brought a loaf of freshly baked onion bread and it was amazing especially when used to soak up the lobster sauce and the steak juice with the melted compound butter! To top it all off my server, Cheryl was attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely nice. I definitely recommend Morton’s worth the money!"

"What a wonderful reception and atmosphere. The young Ladies at the front greeted everyone with beautiful smiles, great attitudes and were happy to see you. The wait staff were absolutely lovely. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The meals, oh my. The steaks (filet mignon) melt in your mouth, the seafood (shrimp scampi cappanelli) was marvelous. It was a little loud once the crowd showed up but that's understandable. Overall, an excellent experience. Of course, being with friends is always a plus. Thank you for a great evening."

"At Morton I had a good steak that was perfectly cooked on my proposal. With the elegant room, a beautiful view of the seaport and personalized mocktails, I believe that Morton is a wonderful place if you want to hang out on a date or a family night. The price was high, but I think it would be worth the experience. The last time I went there with my grandparents, the waitress noticed that it was a family night, so she took a picture for us, put it on a beautiful map and gave us free dessert! You can try to get your partner there and have a free dessert!"

"I have been there about four times. The first time everything was great. The second time was wonderful, the third time, one of my guest didn't like the way his meat was cooked. The fourth time I ordered a cheese burger deluxe but instead of fries I asked for mash potatoes. It was Ok but not what I expected. I hope they improved the food section, the wine was excellent and the location was superb. It will be good to give it a try."

"First timer here — I was going to give it a 4/4.5 because of a hiccup but I think service (both servers and manager) was worth rounding up. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience! We ordered oysters on a half shell, chopped house salad 8 oz. filet mignon (both ordered to split/share, and Morton's prime burger with matchstick fries (fries not pictured), and the legendary hot chocolate cake. The filet mignon was ordered medium rare and it came out slightly overcooked (dry and chewier) but I still ate it in its entirety because a) I was hungry, and b) it wasn't worth another wait for a new steak. Don't get it twisted, it wasn't extremely overcooked... but given its steakhouse title, I held it to a higher standard than the average restaurant. I'd say it was more of a medium level of doneness: slight pink band in the center with more brownish-gray cooked surrounding. I mentioned it to the server as he cleared my plate to ONLY inform kitchen it was cooked a little longer therefore surpassing m.rare specifications, not to get any comp whatsoever. The manager ended up coming to our table and apologizing (I truly didn't expect this as I thought it didn't ruin my entire eating experience, and I was just giving honest gentle feedback) and he insisted on us ordering a dessert on the house. I actually passed and said no thank you as it was not necessary at all, but he insisted and encouraged us to try his favorite dessert... which leads to the legendary hot chocolate cake. I would stop by at Morton's for dessert dates just for this cake!!!! Absolutely legendary and holds its title!! It was mentioned it takes 20 minutes for this to come out but it was worth the wait. Everything about it from the outside crisp to the internal chocolate temperature to the ice cream. LOL my mouth is just watering explaining and visualizing my first time eating this; truly a must have after your meal! This treat was greatly appreciated. Oysters were fresh and great. The house salad was yummy and as expected. The prime burger was made to how we ordered (medium) and it was delicious, and the matchstick fries were crunchy and piping hot. Our server at the lounge was lovely, and other servers/bussers who stopped by our table for either water refills or food runs or pick up finished plates were friendly too. Service by all was top notch. Thanks Morton's, you were a great experience."
