"Hole in the wall Thai spot for typical Thai eats. Service is speedy but the overall ambiance is not anything special but this is what you get with a small eatery. For apps we had the Thai dumplings and the fried calamari. Calamari was good but thin and slightly tough. Sauce was delicious. I didn't love the dumplings. The meat was tough for sure and they were not proportioned well. My friend had the paella while I had the drunken noodles with the homemade short rib. The paella was SO good. The rice contained notes of ginger and the shrimp was not overcooked whatsoever nor the octopus. The drunken noodles were tasty, but the short rib was incredibly hard to eat and inconsistent throughout the dish. Some were tough, some were soft. But overall it was hard to eat the pieces but I pushed through. It was also mostly dry. Don't recommend that choice of protein. The raspberry cosmo was tasty but very thick and had a strong smell and taste of lime juice I know this is an ingredient, but it was stronger than usual in a cosmo). I was satisfied with my experience but wouldn't circle back here right away without exploring my other options in the area."

"I see that it serves Thai and Japanese food? Still the same old Oppai Thai but we can also order Ramen from a separate menu. I used to come here all the time for lunch specials. Disappointed that the flavor is now gone…what a shame. Food came out quick and staff were nice though (new faces). Unfortunately the food has gone downhill."

"I tried this place for lunch in a mood and had a great experience. I had the green curry special with a Thai tea, both were excellent. The portions were generous, and the food quickly came out and piping hot. Lunch also comes with a small soup and salad. The curry dish was full of delicate meat and a unique medal of fresh and tasty vegetables and herbs. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and she chose my entree that perfectly matched me. And my whole tab was only $11. My lunch break was 45 minutes and I could work early."

"0 STARS! The owner with ponytail is very rude..I have ordered takeout here 10+ times and always paid card. I got my wallet stolen and tried to pay Apple Pay. The ponytail little guy proceeded to tell me (very rudely) I’ve been here a bunch and I should KNOW he doesn’t take Apple Pay. I told the guy how would I know if that, if I always pay card. It was overall a very disappointing experience from then on as he went on to be even more rude, I’ve given them business many many times. It felt borderline racist and looking at other reviews, I see how’s he’s treated other black people the same. Will never come back and I encourage you to visit jewel or siam in orland right off 159th they are very friendly and serve better quality food with bigger portions."

"we went to the restaurant kawee thai because of the high reviews. it was Saturday, but the restaurant was empty. we were the only customers. eating was subpar and not authentic thai. my man ordered chicken with peanut sauce. it was cut grilled chicken with peanut sauce smeared on top. it was really easy. I have ordered soupe. it was boiled with chicken wing tips, I spit a huge bucks bone through a quarter of the meal. we were very disappointed. we wondered where the great reviews came from. it has certainly not reflected the quality of the food. we will not return there again."

"Delicious Thai food and service. We ordered Tom yum soup, papaya salad, fried catfish with veggies and chicken barbecue. I was also moved by the gesture of the girl who works there )brought water for my dog even without asking. They have a table outside for outdoor dining so we brought our dog also. Overall good Thai food and place. Will be going there for Thai food everytime I am in Manteca."

"The experience at Charm Thai Bistro feels friendly and personable. There are little cushions and pillows for your back if you choose to sit at a booth and the food came out in a timely fashion. All of the vegetables tasted extremely fresh compared to other Thai restaurants I've tried in the bay. They source ingredients from local markets and it makes a big difference! The mushrooms were especially delicious. The meal felt lighter and less heavy while still being satisfying and filling. There's a separate veggie menu (the green one! and only a couple things on there list egg as an ingredient which you can ask to leave out. We got the crispy taro and yam *highly recommend*, the ginger shiitake *delicious mushrooms*, jasmine white rice (you might need a couple orders of it but it's cheap , and the Pad Ke Mao which is also Jain. Indoor and outdoor seating is available."

"I stopped here for lunch and got the Lunch combo with Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Massaman which is like a soup with Chicken, potatoes, and onions. First when I walked in, the sign says to wait to be seated. There was one patron and the rest of the place was empty. It took almost 5 minutes before I saw someone who sat me down. Service was okay after that. When ordering I asked for 3 star spice level (out of 5). Food arrives quickly, no mistakes and was nice and hot. The Pad Thai first...it was terrible. The chicken was overcooked and dry...almost burnt and the burnt flavor got incorporated with the noodles. I couldn't even finish it. Pair that with the spice level being too high (I can handle spice, but this made my nose run). Chicken Pad Thai...2 out of 5. The Chicken Massaman...was amazing. It was the first time I'd ever ordered that dish and it did not disappoint. The flavor was very different (I'm not a curry fan) but this was delicious. I even told the waitress how good it was. The spice level was supposed to be the same as the pad Thai (3 out of 5), but the Massaman was actually edible. Overall dish...4 out of 5. I probably won't try this place again unless I have to, but wasn't an overall terrible experience."

"Closer to a 3.5 (which isnt a bad thing for a little corner dive joint).<br/ <br/ FOOD not too bad. Differing styles, flairs, takes and tastes on similar dishes served at other Chinese restaurants but overall usually pretty good. <br/ <br/ PRICE/VALUE reasonably priced. <br/ <br/ SERVICE prompt, pleasant but hurried. <br/ <br/ ATMOSPHERE nothing special but only have take out experience. <br/ <br/ Will and do go back for quick and good Chinese food."

"Order the chicken Pad Thai extra spicy and it was terrible. Chicken was bland and tough.. I could here Gordon Ramsay screaming in the back of my head. No spice or flavor at all. Tasted real sugary. No bean sprouts. I also had a side of peanut sauce it just tasted like they blended a tablespoon of jif in a few cups of water. No coconut no spice of any kind. This is shameful."
