"This was our first time at Selby's, and we loved our experience. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated. Dark, warm, and elegant. Perfect place for a special dinner. Service was all around very good. Our waitress was engaging and had timing down pat. The sommelier and other support staff were very professional. Food was excellent. This is an expensive meal so come prepared to spend."

"James Hoban's is always a fun spot for a casual bite great service and fun atmosphere. It can get a little loud in the bar area, but there's seating in the back that mitigates that issue. The patio area is one of the best in DC a great venue to while a way a few hours on a spring evening."

"Appetizers were good. We had colossal shrimps, crab meat with avocado and burata. I was upset no seas on the menu and they brought wrong pasta dish for my my friend. They also brought wrong water brand and the lobster was over cooked and rubbery. Presentation of the food could be better. Not going there anymore"

"This was truly the worst dining experience of my life, and I dine out a lot. To be fair, it was their Easter buffet, not the usual dining, so your results may vary. Upon entering, we were barely greeted but brought to our large table. It was a table for eight though we were a party of four, so it was very awkward but compared to the food, that part was nothing. Despite it being an 11am reservation, this was not brunch food but rather only dinner type of food. Everything looked incredibly unappetizing. The vegetables were green beans and corn that had to have been from cans. They were swimming in a weird liquid and looked inedible. There was mashed potatoes and stuffing that seemed ok, along with turkey, some sort of pulled beef, and possibly ham. There were two kinds of gravy, both congealed looking despite it being the first reservation of the day. I tried the turkey, beef, potatoes, stuffing, and the light gravy. The potatoes and stuffing were ok, the meat was exceedingly dry. I could barely cut the turkey. There was also fruit salad which was partially frozen yet mushy at the same time. My family, who usually will eat any dessert item, did not find the selection appealing. Even the rolls were bad. The salad was iceberg lettuce plus a bunch of difficult to identify mayo-soaked slaws of various sorts. Even the coffee was undrinkable. They brought us the check almost immediately and included an automatic gratuity that was not advertised. After not eating more than a few bites of anything, we paid the check and left. It was clear that we were very dissatisfied, yet no one inquired a single time. The manager who barely greeted us was at the door as we left and said nothing, not even a goodbye. This cost us $115 for a few bites of mashed potatoes, a couple of dry rolls, and some flat soda for my daughter. The fact that no one inquired as to our experience was definitely the worst part."

"The seating arrangement of the restaurant was inadequate. There was no room to walk, and the tables are not big enough for two people. You could have one plate and drink on the table at a time. The staff had to stop multiple times to maneuver around the tables."

"I saw bad reviews but was still hopeful. Next time I will just stay downstairs with the awesome bartenders. Food and service was slow at best but it may have been all the kitchen's fault. At least they feed their staff I watched to from near walk out the back door with HUGE plates of food while waiting for mine to come. The apps were good. The entrees...The pescatarian of the group was served chicken instead of fish. When his market priced day boat fish came to the table it smelled horrible but he ate it. It wasn't good and he got sick later that evening. The rice on the dish was also undercooked. We should have went back downstairs when it took over 5 minutes to get someone to greet us. Lesson learned."

"arethusa al tavolo is still the best restaurant in litchfield county, if not connecticut. all my party of four consumed contain high-quality ingredients and perfectly prepared. my peking duck was exceptional and the salmon of my wife was perfectly cooked, one had an almost buttery taste. our guests had both the short ribs and carved around them. the personal was very attentive, answered all our asking and hosted our gluten-free friend. the manager has asked my to increase our party size from 2 to 4, gnädig recorded when open table showed no availability for a party of four. this was our first visit of the year, we try to go in the rule a few times in the year, but it has become very popular and it can be difficult to get a reservation on short notice. it is a very special place and it is worth securing a reservation."

"this restaurant is not close to what it was earlier, since it was sold. the new peculiarities only take care of . it doesn't matter what you have to say. the prices are absolutely outrageous. I live only 2 miles away and my husband and I were frequent visitors. view the outside of the building and the parking space. no rise. that meant spending money. don't waste their time or hard earned money on this place, they run it into the floor!"

"absolutely phenomenal. started with the ribs and the charcuterie and oh my ****. the ribs that I could eat for the rest of my life breakfast lunch and dinner. not on the ribs, they must have them seriously! quickly get there because they change seasonal menu there and they must have the ripening. get her! okay, move on, have her Caesar salad and it was delicious. the heavy fish for my escape and the huge creamy glow was so damn good. I would have drunk everything alone. zack was an amazing server. contempt and very personal, this place rules. taylor is an amazing bartender there is a drink called the supercalifragilistic (I think I have the right) and oh dear it was exactly that. very recommended. gin, lemon, limette, minzsirup and something else, but gott it was so good!. they already have it."

"I've seen this several times walking by and finally decided to try it. Made a reservation via Open Table same night which was great. Arrived about 25 minutes early and we were sat right away. The hostess was very friendly as well as the waitstaff. Order two glasses of white wine and I didn't take the name down. For meals, we shared the French Onion soup. Now you must love cheese...because it had the most cheese, I've ever seen on top of French Onion soup! I did like that there was enough cheese to have some in every bite..so no complaints here. Escargot was next up and tasty....the bread dipped nicely into the leftover butter sauce. The didn't have the pork tenderloin as stated on the menu, substituting with pork chops. I can't recall the last time I've had a great pork chop, it was delicious! And the sauce could have been more it was soooo good. Lamb shank was the second entree and didn't disappoint with the polenta on the side. Gravy/sauce was to die for. No dessert on this round...but I will keep in mind an try other items on their menu."

"The ambiance could have been improved had they played background music. Unfortunately, the food was less than what I had hoped. My branzino was overcooked and the potatoes were cold. We weren't asked if we wanted another drink or more rolls. The Creme Brule was very good. Considering the server knew it was our anniversary and that we chose to celebrate it at Le Rivage, it would have been great PR for the establishment to acknowledge it in some way. This was a disappointing dining experience. Le Rivage is not high on our list for future celebrations."

"everything on the menu is a signature court. the duck à l’orange is a must-have, the baked mushes and escargots make them want more. this facility is welcoming, warm and everything they are looking for, in a perfect evening or lunch and the staff feels like a family. the live music just adds so much to the atmosphere and it does not overtake the room because they can still have a conversation. it's just a great place to go."

"We went on a Friday night at 730pm to arrive to the restaurant with lights on blast no ambiance. Upon seating it seemed like there was only one wine list for the whole place (4 tables occupied) as they had to grab it from another table. Ordered a nice $100 bottle of Cab and the server bought the house $35 bottle. I didn’t notice till after opening and at that point whatever. I could tell I shouldn’t get a large bottle anyways. It took 20min for them to come back and take orders and didn’t seem to attentive. Throughout the meal no one came to the table, no one cleared appetizer plates or anything so by the end of the meal there was no room on the table. It was very poor service. Shame too as the food was good and great portions. We had steaks, French Soup, mussels and then desert. All good. Just poor front of house service."

"My boyfriend and I dined here to celebrate his birthday. It was a beautiful setting and ambiance! We loved sitting in the restaurant with glass windows; it almost felt like we were dining right outdoors. I would recommend dining here during the spring time when you're able to catch the sunset before it gets dark at 5pm. Other than that, we both enjoyed our experience and the food was delicious."
