"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"I would recommend eating, not management. I reserved one standing for a Saturday night per week in advance, not only that they held our stand, but made us feel angry when we were upset about it. we were actually turned away and asked to return in 15 minutes. we did this and when we came back 15 minutes later, they only sat a few more at the stand we demanded. the management came to us and said: “ok, we will get them a table, what is the big thing?” we went after. we eat here almost every week. not very good customer service."

"very disappointing encounter this time. our first time was wonderful and we had the same experience to bring our family with us. totally opposite. the restaurant was heavy overcrowded to the point that I, as I sat with my back to the floor, was less than 1 foot from the person behind me. I was inaugurated by every other person during my meal. the noise was more like a nightclub with live heavy metal music than a relaxing, fine culinary experience. then the food received, from us 6 of us two of us a paleable eating (can even be delicious). the othe 4 could not finish their meal because of the taste. the cuddles for an appetizer were tasteless, the worst I ever had. the broth should have a spice. Instead, it was just warm water. I tried, but we left more than the half of the mushing a d of calamari (same tasteless). I will not return to matteos soon! serious bad experience that cost over $800!"

"Unfortunately, food and service is not what it was once. Chicken was dry and hard and overcooked. Pasta was the opposite. If you like al dente pasta, it is perfectly cooked. If not, then make sure they cook it longer. When my date sent the chicken back, the waiter was rude and delighted. I liked this place for a long time, but unfortunately I'm not in a hurry to come back soon. I hope they'll find out."

"The food was delicious as usual, but the service was not good. Our waiter was rude, Arrogant and nasty. When he saw that we were upset, he said “I’m sorry we got off on the wrong foot” let’s start again. He brought my husband “a drink on him”, but, Our evening was already ruined because we were made to feel uncomfortable and stupid as to our knowledge of the choices on the special menu when we asked him to repeat two of them. We are frequent customers of this restaurant and have never encounter this waiter before, even though he told us that he has been working there for a year. He also had an attitude when we asked him his name. Follow up: Manager called me the next day and wanted to know more information. He assured me that this was not acceptable and would never happen again and to ask for him if we came back. I told him of course we would be back, the food is always excellent and one bad experience will not keep us away. Kudos to good management"

"We had an incredible time at Bocca. The staff was exceptional and the food was incredible. The owners accommodate my teenage daughter who has a very difficult time eating out. She had an incredible time and enjoyed her meal. They were so understanding of her condition and made every effort to make this an enjoyable experience and they did. The bartender was fantastic too. We were a large party and I didn?t want to crowd his bar and take from others but he insisted we sit and have a drink. He was putting us first. We live in NC but this will be our go to restaurant when we visit Manhattan."

"Do t eat here, restaurant and service sucks. The service is slow and not efficient. They have to retake you order cause they didn’t get it right the first time. They did not have bottled water so your only option was tap water or a large bottle ofseltzer. And be ready to wait 40 minutes for a BLT sandwich. My son had the Vanilla gelato ice cream he could not finish it itwas that bad. It was overpriced for the quality and service that they provide. Its not my fist time eating there but Idefinitely will not be eating there again. They need better management and waiters. This place has potential to be great andthey are not! The sandwich was nothing special."

"Came yesterday for a baby shower with more than 50 people and the staff didn't make a sip! The food was on every table and delicious. There was always someone asking if our table needed drinks. If you need to host a private event, this is a great place. I can't wait to eat here again."
