"This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes."

Not only are his selections and menu recommendations STELLAR , but what has changed in this restaurant over the past weeks is.unbelievable. and there is so much more to come!! I just hope i can use open table and continue to get reservations here in the future..the secret is out.!!! From the arugala. Fig and goat cheese pizza pie, the rice balls in onion soup, brazed short ribs, tuna, gnocchi and home made pasta, eveything was off the hook. The staff, ambiance, and wine selection was terrific...we will definately be back.. Congratulations to the owners, staff. and Chef Joe...well done!!"

My family and I had an amazing time at Sammio's, so much so that the very next day a went back for take out and discovered they had two location and that's where my take-out order was at. "poor service. I ordered wings (hot and BBQ mix) with chicken and fries. that was waiting for 45 minutes. When the food came, I was only starved to find out there were no wings. my friend called her and told them the situation that a woman answered and said she was regrettable and she will send out another command, and that this will take another 45 minutes. I called and said this is unacceptable 2 hours for wings for their fault. she became very rude and said there was nothing I can do because I gave you sick to a superior. this superior was just as rude, so I only tied them to keep the money and the wings. I don't want it, and I hope nobody ever deals with peppino until they learn...more"

"Service was not good. We must have been there in the middle of shift change, because our server left in the middle of us dining without saying a word. She was talking to the people sitting behind us for a very long time (probably friends, not sure) and did not come check on our table. After that, we just didn’t see her at all and figured she left?? We were very confused because we sat for a long time without anybody coming to check on us/ collect plates/ refill water. We only got service when we called over some other server. My friends and I also work in a restaurant and we were very shocked by this behavior it was very unprofessional. At the very least the new server should have come over and introduced himself so we know who is taking care of us. The service in this restaurant was awful. Also, this is the only place I have ever seen charge $12+ for NON alcoholic drinks. The cheapest mocktail was $8 and the rest ranged between $12-14 when the alcoholic drinks were $15+. I just thought that was weird. Overall, if the service was better I would come again and recommend this place because the food was good. I know a lot more places that have just as good a menu but at least a normal standard for service. Do better."

"I don't understand why this restaurant only has 3 stars. My experience here this evening was fantastic. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was incredibly delicious. The buttery pasta and garlic bread rolls were also amazing. The flavors were strong but not overwhelming. My gluten-free friend ordered the chicken piccata and loved it. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was friendly. There was plenty of seating and a small bar. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant."
