"Casa de Colombia is a favorite of me, especially when it happens a Colombian fútbol game. That was not the case that this trip for lunch, which means it is not so loud or busy. I enjoy the aromas from South America. I must start with the Tequeños Venezuelan cheese sticks. The dough is great! In addition, a maracuya (Barmobst) had juice. A lot of juice selection. I went and ordered a few things going around here to get sweet curtains, an empanada and arepa and sopa de ajiaco. The empanada too long (and should have been composed); I think they forgot. 4 stars because the service was not the best, unfortunately."

"The only thing Cuban about this place is the name; the menu is primarily Dominican food. I ordered a pork sandwich, but the meat was tough, chewy, cold, and tasteless. The bun wasn't even warmed up. I requested Swiss cheese but received queso blanco instead. The server didn't provide any napkins, and when I asked for a glass of water, that's all I got; I also ordered black coffee but was served espresso instead. I tried the croquetas de jamón, but they were nothing special. Would I return? Absolutely not! They clearly don’t know what they're doing."

"The food is too pricey, they serve you only a half of cup of beans and white rice. Usually authentic restaurants serve you more beans then that especially if it's for two people. Their bathrooms have water saving old system which sadly they need to change asap. It gets clogged to easy and to me that's a big don't go back. They only get 2 stars because they do have a bar and the place is bit centric for a stop and go but I would not recommend it for a picky, clean eater like myself.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp but don't go past 4:00pm too crowded."

"I am so happy that I found this place. In the heart of Hoboken you can find this hidden gem. I love how affordable this place is, I love how attentive and hospitable the staff are! And the food is amazing! My favorite is the grilled skirt steak with shrimp and the mango smoothie! During my first visit I had this dish with a side of maduros, rice and beans. They have an amazing garlic sauce to pair the dish with you can ask for it on the side but make sure you add lime to the steak and the garlic sauce on top of it. The second visit my sister had the chicken with shrimp and garlic sauce it was good too. And the tres leches was great as well. You must check this place out!"

"I have been going to this restaurant for years. The food is really good. I am not sure if there is new wait staff there now but my last visit which was on Father's day (2023), was ok but nothing to rave about. There was this one particular waiter who borderline harrassed me about tipping the waitress, in which was already in progress. I paid the bill on my credit card and asked her to get change for a $20 bill so I could tip her. He was not aware and was kind of rude about it.I tipped her and left. La Nueva Victoria, please be aware that you are getting more popularity because of Social Media. Stop with the tip shenanigans and allow people to dine and pay you accordingly. Thanks"

"First time here most likely our last. Not impressed by taste or serving sizes. Also, they’re not allowing customers to eat in the restaurant so we ended up driving 40+ minutes to this place just to eat in the car."

"This is my spot! I feel like their iconic, maybe to me! What stands out are the corn shelled empanadas. They are among very few restaurants here in the city that offer it. In all 5 boroughs. I think I’ve found one food truck in Queens and another restaurant that was in Jersey. I had the lunch special which was 2 empanadas with rice and beans. One empanada was ground beef and the other was the Viagra which is a shrimp empanada. Both delicious with the green and red sauces."

"It's unfortunate to have to spend money on such a disappointing dining experience. I recently ordered some wings at Costa Real, explicitly requesting that they be very spicy. However, what I received was far from my expectations: a kind of chicken in sauce or stew, neither fried nor roasted, that fell apart easily and was completely lacking in spice. Neither the flavor, nor the texture, nor the presentation were close to what I expected, much less what I paid. I feel deeply frustrated, as it is not just food; It is the effort and money that one works hard to enjoy a good meal. It is truly outrageous to waste time and, above all, money on such a poor experience. Honestly, in other times I would demand severe consequences for whoever prepared such a disgusting dish. Wasting my time, my money and causing embarrassment to your colleagues and bosses is unacceptable. This experience has not only destroyed my confidence in the quality of the restaurant, but has also called the restaurant's reputation into question. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone."

"The decor was festive but the noise level made it difficult for easy conversation. I had a salad with chicken, and the taste was fine, but a piece of tendon or fat was left on the sides of the chicken pieces which made it difficult to cut and unapetizing to eat (chewy and stringy). I liked the cucumbers, avocado and carrots on the salad. My friend ordered cheese enchiladas, and the cheese inside looked similar to the cheese inside a fried mozzarella stick. The cheese was hot, but not melty, though; it was stiff. She was not a fan of the taste. The guacamole that came with it was pureed completely and did not have good texture or flavor. The refried black beans were delicious. We both ordered a side of them, and my large portion came in a separate bowl, whereas her smaller portion came on the plate with her enchiladas. Not sure why the discrepancy. The server came initially, and I asked him to give me one minute to decide about my order. Fifteen minutes later, he still had not returned. I had to ask the hostess if she could please send our waiter to the table; the restaurant did not appear to be really busy, either. Because of the slow service and mediocre food, I do not plan on returning."

"This is an exceptionally difficult review for me to write, but I feel it necessary to share my experience at this particular establishment. Although the setting may provide a modest ambiance synonymous with a middle range restaurant, the price of the drinks is anything but modest.A focal point of my dissatisfaction centers around a pair of Tequila shots. As a newcomer to the world of Tequila, I sought guidance from our server, who recommended a duo of shots without disclosing their prices upfront, an oversight I deemed to be unintentional at that moment. My perception, however, quickly shifted when I received the bill a whopping $36 for the two shots. To put it into perspective, this is the equivalent of what two main courses would typically cost in a restaurant of this caliber. Needless to say, I was astounded by the exorbitant price, a cost I would expect at a high end lounge, not a middle of the road Mexican restaurant. The absence of price transparency and the unreasonably steep cost for a simple request have left a bitter taste, stronger than any Tequila. Unfortunately, due to these reasons, I cannot recommend this establishment until there are significant changes in their pricing policy and transparency. Consider this a cautionary tale always ask for the prices, especially for recommendations."

"Excellent Mexican restaurant, I'm always here. Friendly staff very fast to eat for you all, great atmosphere attitude. If you? re past the area or they also have a Mexican seafood place on the other side of the street, which is also incredible. Maybe I'll see you there."
