"I don't usually write reviews, but I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were amazing, and one of them even connected with me because we shared the same name. She went out of her way to offer me a carrying tray when I was leaving, which was really kind. She also helped me find the drinks area, which I had trouble locating since it was hidden. Overall, great service and great people. I noticed the owner reads reviews, so I wanted to give a shoutout to the employee with the last name "Taylor"."

"Our food took over an hour to be served for a 5 top when it was not very busy. I believe the server forgot to ring it in as he came by the table 30 minutes after we ordered to check what one person at the table actually ordered. We watched tables who came in after us get their food and eat before we got ours. It also felt like once we got our food the server was ready for us to go. The table next to us had been sitting before we got in and they had bottomless mimosas as well however they were still getting refills on their drinks when the server brought us our check and said thanks for coming in. It felt as though he had already messed up putting our food in so he would just rather get us out of there. Very disappointed with the service we received and the quality of the food. At least three of us barely touched what we ordered as a meal."

"Stopped in last night for a quick bite. Were told it was happy hour so beers! Lots of beer selections, but we found none of the beer was cold. When we tried to order a specific microbrew that was listed we were told that that keg isn't tapped yet with no offer to actually get us the beer. Wife asked if perhaps the bottle she'd gotten might have just been put in the fridge and asked if there was a beer that might actually be cold. Our server just shrugged and said 'They all like that.So we start off with warm beer.Then we get our Oysters as an app, which had a really, really good flavor. But they were cold fried oysters, so an otherwise very good appetizer was not very good at all.Beers sat empty, had to flag the waitress down to order another, and then was minutes before they came out. She was friendly, but just not very good at her job.Meatballs didn't have a lot of flavor, wings were decent, the prime rib dip was ok, fries were pretty good. None of it was especially hot, but unlike the oysters, most of it was at least warm.All in all the service was poor, food was very mediocre, and our tab for what was listed above beers at each, three appetizers, a sandwich, and two glasses of wine was not be back. Expensive, food was not good, beer was warm, service was poor"

"On Saturday, August 13th, my experience at the restaurant was not the best. When we arrived, we were not greeted right away and were informed that a large table had just arrived. Despite being in a hurry, we decided to stay assuming they were short-staffed. We placed our order around 6:12 pm but did not receive our drinks until 6:50 pm. I had to go to the bar to inquire about them. Our food arrived about 5 minutes later. Unfortunately, a diner who had ordered before us waited so long that she eventually cancelled her order and left. I believe the person who took her order was on their way out because they called her name. The server with a green cutoff shirt, ponytail, and split dyed hair was the most friendly and apologized for the delay. We were also surprised that we had to order at the counter. Despite the delays and ordering process, the food was actually quite good."

"We have been here 3 times now and it has gotten progressively louder. Partly bad acoustics, partly more people. Good for the restaurant, not good for people that want to eat and have a conversation. So if you are young and don't mind eating while at a rock concert, no problem. Or if you just want to yell and drink, no problem."

"I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd like to help. I had the platter with catfish and shrimp and red beans and rice. Overall I think the food is better than the Cajun restaurant downtown, but still pretty bland, not super flavorful which was disappointing.The lettuce underneath the catfish reminded me of eating a big Mac. Just take it away. The catfish itself was pretty good but there was a lack of depth with the flavor of pretty much everything I ate. But honestly with a few simple changes this place could be really good. I loved the sweet potato fries and okra. The first thing I would do if I suddenly became in charge of this place, is replace the menu. The menu is the worst thing about this place. Hard to read, too much going on, the poor waiter had to explain the menu to us and several other tables. The messy menu was a huge turn off for us. I do plan to come back, and hopefully I will be more impressed with the pasta dishes which did sound really good."

"This is a great place for beer. I'm a big sour fan and their selection of sours is limited, but there's always a couple. The atmosphere during the day (before 5p) is comfortable and chill. The evening crowd is a little different, and I would recommend that you try it during the day before you try it in the evening. You will like it better. Pay close attention to the ABV on the beers because they like to put beers out that are 6% or higher. I don't mind those some of the time, but if I'm going to drink more beer I prefer to be 5% or less. This place is well worth your time and a must stop beer place in Kansas City."

"We got the buffalo chicken dip, my sister dad shared the pickle pizza, and I got a burger with swiss mushrooms. I am not a pickle fan but I had to try a bite and the pickle pizza had a delicious sriracha aioli drizzle. They have a lot of local beers in bottles cans, a few on tap! They have an fun cocktail list, too! I also spotted a nice patio outside for those warmer days nights."

"The onion rings were extremely greasy, making me feel sorry for the delivery driver who most likely now has grease stains. They could have used a bit more salt, but they were decent. The boneless wings were quite dry. In general, it would be a good place for kids to enjoy."
