"I will start with the the positive...the food quality is very good. Everyone really liked their food. Even though our server was nice, the overall service is not good. They leave a container of water on the table, but when you have 5 people it goes fast. The water was consumed along with all the drinks we paid for in no time. For the remainder of our meal No refills or even back to ask if we wanted another glass of wine or another beer, which they could have made more money by bringing. I will admit the only reason we tried this restaurant out is because we didn't have reservations and it was the only place we could get into."

"Restaraunt is suppose to be fine dining which it appears to be. This is a new restaurant for rampart. I was rather disappointed. The server was excellent. The food was disappointing for the outrageous prices. The salads were ok. The drinks were the biggest problem. We got the orange juice margaritas. The amaretto should have been in the side and I would have liked at least a little tequila. Sent it back got a regular came with tiny amount tequila and the glass was 3/4 full. For 14.00. Not good enough to recommend or go again"

"Nice and conveniently located off central expressway. The happy hour drink menu was not great for the price. Worst part was the parking. Arrived at 5:45, no available parking nearby, Frost Bank had Reserved parking all around the restaurant and they were closed. Was advised that police would ticket if I parked at the bank. Not feeling secure walking to a parking garage will probably not return to Matchmox if alone."

"My hubby and I went for the Happy Hour Apps and drinks. We didnt think the apps were generously portioned so we went tapas style and ordered the big pretzel, the street corn, the hummus, the cheese steak egg rolls, the Honey goat cheese pizza and the sausage and peppers pizza. We didnt finish everything but the pretzel and the cheese steak egg rolls were amazing. You can easily share all these items with 4+ people. The honey and goat cheese pizza with pesto was delicious. The hummus was fantastic. The street corn was good but if you want something savory go with the cheese steak egg rolls. We were curious about dessert so we got the cookie dessert to share. Be careful though it's very hot, so you have to wait until the ice cream melts and it makes it even more delicious. We are coming back for dinner and brunch since we eye balled a few items we wanted to try on the menu. So glad we checked this place out. I definitely recommend it, great for happy hour."

"I highly recommend La Riv. It has definitely improved the food and the service. Highly recommend the the short ribs. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi was over cooked (it was rubbery) but it was welled seasoned. The service was outstanding Mandy was one of the best servers/waitresses we have had since our move to Texas five years ago. She is very friendly and very attentive to each of us as customers. Also very efficient and a willingness to listen and learn our dining quirks. If can get Mandy for your waitress you are got to have a very enjoyable dining experience."

"My partner and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The attention to detail in the restoration of the building and space was impressive. We enjoyed the sculpted plaster ceilings on the extra tall old-warehouse walls, as well as the well-placed wainscoting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in the front door. The table settings were inviting, with some tables being seated by wingback chairs or lounge couches.
