"I couldn’t have been more disappointed with their overpriced New Years Eve menu. Food didn’t live up to their regular menu. A dinner for two with an inexpensive bottle of wine was over $450, could have eaten extravagantly off the regular menu for much less. The chef missed a chance to wow customers. I’ve taken parties of 7 or more on many occasions to this restaurant, I’ll consider different venues in the future."

"I usually have my order delivered but I dined in. Table wasn't wiped clean, I ask for someone to do so and they obliged. I will say that since this pandemic, I'd thought establishments would've leveled up on cleanliness, but, I guess work ethics have taken a dive too since the pandemic. I prefer delivery, food is good, but I will stay home and eat from my table. I think the restaurant has undergone a change in management bcuz when I was there last, there was someone else who managed it."

"mixed meeting coworkers vs foodstaff: the first host I met at the arrival was not friendly or welcoming. I advise her how many were in my party, but that I also joined the Yelp alert list. I said I wasn't sure the timing was over. she gave me an empty star and just looked around. I'm not sure if she didn't know how to work system or just don't like to serve black moats. another host came smiling and asked me my name. she found the name of the waitress and brought us to our table. the server wasn't the kindest when we sat down first. she seemed to warm up slowly. are black not welcome here? Eat: eating was delicious. everything we had from the French toast, waffeln and speck. menu: I wish the menu included a description for the French toast. Description are included for pancakes, but not French toast. When we asked the waitress, she looked at us as if we should know. suggestions: variety training for employees. all guests should feel welcome by all employees. Description for French toast elements in the menu"

"that was our first time eating in serendipity. we had a reservation for 4 at 5:30. I will say that the decor on the evening's side is beautiful. the bar side has many and many tvs, but only 4 seats at the actual bar. the barkeeper had no idea about the menu or what was available in the restaurant and actually gave us absolutely false information. the drinks were just okay. we left the bar side and went to the table on the dinner side. eating was good, not great and a bit too expensive. our friends ordered sweet carrots as side with their meal and apparently used the kitchen salt instead of sugar. how this is happening? our server never came back to check us, we had to call the manager out of the whole room. they were not busy at all. in the did there were only 3 tables with diners to dinner time we share the pork, but the server said they could not share it in the kitchen. it was too hard to do for them. I could easily share it on the table myself. what the devil did they even try? our server began to delete the 3 plates while our 4th was still eating. then asked if we wanted to dessert. Come on, look at that table. someone still ate. it wasn't as if they needed the table because the long list of others waited to eat. there were now 4 filled tables. I think this place tries hard, but misses the boot I doubt we'll be back. Oh and something else! the server came to our table at exactly 18 o'clock to ask if we wanted additional drinks from the bar. when we said yes, because happy hour ends at 6, his answer was not a happy hour price that ended a minute ago....it will be full price now. that was annoying"

I booked a reservation for December 22nd, but when I arrived, they informed me that they do not accept reservations made through OpenTable. It seems that others have experienced the same issue based on other reviews. It is confusing why OpenTable is allowing reservations to be made at a restaurant that does not honor them."

"Good place for breakfast or lunch. The owners remember you and always welcome you. The servers work hard and always pleasant and often the tables to refresh your coffee. Always ask how your meal tasted. The owners go around and make sure every table is served. Food is hot and never served a wrong meal as busy as anyone is during breakfast or lunch. "I visited this restaurant for the first time and I must say, they prioritize quality over quantity. While the portions may appear average, the food itself was fantastic. The meatlover skillet was amazing and the cinnamon roll was clearly homemade. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, and the prices were fair. "I would call the food inspector on this place ASAP. As we were finishing our meal, a rat ran towards us under our table. My husband and I jumped from our seats in terror with our feet off the floor on to the booths. When the waiter heard me scream he asked if everything was ok... when I told him that a rat had ran underneath our table he had no emotion, no concern and had no sense of urgency to bring the manager over- he basically shrugged it off. We were unable to put our feet down because the creature was hiding beneath our table. As we were flagging for help and for someone to bring the check, we had to painfully wait another 10 minutes for the manager to finally come to “apologize” she said that the back kitchen door must’ve been left open and that’s how the rat got in. They were slow to present our bill, which we quickly paid and ran out. I will never ever go back to this establishment again."

"Friendly, quick service! Everyone was friendly and attentive and the place was clean with many seats. The food came so fast and were very generous portions. "Newestvisit: On the last Sunday in March we ate lunch getting a beef burger, cod with pumpkin pancakes and Devonshire Cream food was supurb as was the service by Keisha. Chef did a fantastic job on the cod moist fresh tasting with excellent tarter sauce, burger was a perfect medium with super dipping sauce. We both loved our salads will be a regular component of my meals here.Earlier visits: Super service by Christine fish and chips plus corned beef hash and in later meal service by Mindi delivering excellent fish, prawns and chips for our table. Cod was fried to order served with crispy chips and soup. Added Pumpkin Pancakes to cod order for 2nd visit this is served with wonderful housemade Devonshire Cream.Our 3rd visit was for the Wed Turkey special which is wonderful this is a favorite local restaurant with excellent service again by Mindi. Less than a week later we ate here for a 4th time getting the best cod I have had in over a year plus an excellent piece of salmon. Mindi does a fine job her fast efficient service and knowledge of the local cuisine is fantastic.All of the servers and chefs we have encountered here do a fine job.Vegetarian options: Salad choices very nice with excellent selection clearly fresh made salad (we have never seen anything stale or even slightly old .Parking: parking front of restaurant is tight on Evergreen way but there is a lot of parking close to restaurant including directly behind it on Fleming. Also Fleming is an excellent road parallel to Evergreen you can use to avoid the occasional traffic snarl on Evergreen."
