"We were looking for dinner after seeing a play in the area (Chelsea), and we chose Raymi almost at random and were very glad we did. It is a find. Everything was delicious: I had the arroz con pato (duck confit, cilantro jasmine rice, huancaina, Cusquena, crispy quinoa), my wife had the kale solterito salad (roasted tomatoes, baby bok choi, quinoa, cauliflower, olives, avocado), and our son had the lomo saltado (hanger steak, soy sauce, baby bok choi, tomato, red onion, fries, and jasmine rice. We dined at 9:30 on a night when Raymi closed at 10:30, so things were fairly quiet; I can imagine the place being very lively at peak hours. But the atmosphere was lovely, the service was prompt and gracious, and the food did I mention the food? was fabulous. Highly, highly recommended."

"The reason for the 4 stars is that we were the only people in the restaurant. I can not give a review on the atmosphere. We got vegetarian food. Two of us got a burger and I got the noodle salad with tofu. I was told the burgers were very good and moist. (A lot of times it's hard to get a fake burger moist the fries were seasoned well and were good, hot and crisp. Roasted cauliflower had a flavorful sauce on them. They were not over cooked. My noodles were delicious. I did not like the texture of the tofu. The flavor was great but it was not firm tofu so when you bit into the chunk it was soft and mushy on the inside. That is a texture thing for me so not really on them. We all got water so no review on drinks however, for someone who is not a fan of dessert the pineapple cake and ice cream thing (sorry anthem I don't remember what it was called was out of this world delicious. Our server was friendly, our order was correct and the whole place was clean. There is a bar area along with regular dining. A patio with fans and misters (looked very nice but it was July in Texas so we did not try it. There was also a little area that kind of looked like a lounge area off of the bar. Great place to have after work get together if you are already downtown.Vegetarian options: There are not a whole bunch of options but the ones they have look very good and the ones we got were delicious.Parking: The garage around the corner is mostly for the apartments above the restaurant so not a bunch of spots. They are for mid to small cars. Hard for truck or suv. Price is not bad for downtown Austin."

"One Sunday in August 2021, we went to Chavez like we always do when we visit my Mom in Spring Branch. I get the shrimp. It was always good until the last time. Are used to get Tex-Mex but discovered their shrimp. The last time was the Sunday and immediately the service was off you could just tell and the food took longer then ever before. They bought the shrimp with fish on it which is never happened before. But I thought it be good to try the fish so I didn’t say anything. Then I bit into the shrimp and it was awful… Gamy. So I complained to the waiter. The waiter comes back And says he spoke to the cook about it. That was all He did…big deal. So we got our ticket to leave no discount or any kind of offer about the bad shrimp. Then when I went to house them about it they said I should’ve returned the plate. (which I complained the minute I tasted the shrimp) Wow! It took twice more for me to complain before they finally took off that plate of shrimp that I ordered. It was a huge pain with them lecturing me and looking at me like I’ve done something wrong. Really bad customer service. Really cheap way of doing business. Especially since we’ve been regular customers there for many years. Don’t know what else to say about that it kind of speaks for itself. Needless to say they ended our customer relationship with them right away. I should have returned the plate immediately when it had the fish on it. That was not what I ordered.I think they added the fish to cover up the fact that they didn’t have any shrimp left and couldn’t communicate enough to tell someone then I’ll order the shrimp."

"Food and customer service was absolutely terrible. I ordered a veggie Burrito. Pictures are the result. I called to speak to manager after I got home, but the gentleman that rang me up, and prepared my meal hung the phone up on me, so i had to drive back there immediately. Once I arrived, I explained to the gentleman what the problem was for my order, he refused to remake my order, and refund me my money instead. Which was over $30 dollars. I have never experienced service this bad at a Mexican restaurant, i guess there is a first time for everything. Vegetarian options: Terrible service and preparation."

"This place was phenomenal! Our waitress, Suzanna(hope I spelled it right), had the fastest best customer service I have ever had! Like, since Covid-19 we have had some okay service. But this girl other staff was amazing! So much so that I had to ask for the manager tell how great this woman was! Everyone was so kind the food was amazing. Not too spicy! They had this warm dip, not sure if it was salsa, for their chips. Great flavor without burning off your tongue! The flavors here are like a symphony in your mouth!We use to go to the Casa Margarita on Bolingbrook all the time damn I miss this restaurant! We feel like we are treated like family no matter what location we go to! We will definitely be back! Also, dinner for 3 with the Monster Margarita was under $100!Kid-friendliness: They have a kid 's menu the bright colors lively atmosphere keeps the kiddos happy.Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten intolerance there are plenty of gluten friendly options there. For obvious reasons, I would recommend for Celiacs or those with Anaphylaxis to gluten or wheat. But, there are plenty of menu options where the dish is naturally made with no gluten."
