"Wise Guys has always been a must go there place for dinner on our frequent trips to Hilton Head. The food is always rewarding and service exceptional until last night. Service was marginal at best, rather slow and non attentive. Drinks were slow (especially the second beer) and only three of the four dinners arrived timely. My dinner came about twenty minutes after the others were served with only a here is your dinner and sorry from someone who was not our server. The plate was hot (the lasagna not so and part of the pasta was burnt). No explanation on why, no wait while I tried it, nothing ever from our server who came to the table about five minutes after the wrong dinner was returned. I should add that the other three were please with their meals and all of us enjoyed the beet salads and onion soup. Still, this was unexpected. Poor service can be redeemed when remedies are taken quickly and satisfactorily. We will return to see if this was only a fluke but not till next year."
