"This place has all the potential to be as chic and popular as any Midtown ATL ice cream. The food was great (including several gluten-free options that made them very good for the taste, no joke). The service was also excellent - we got dissertation level knowledge from our waiter. They have invested in good decorated lighting, wall and ceiling coverings, and tables and stands do not feel cheap at all. But this place doesn't quite know who they are, or it seems. And I guess it's the reason why they can't get the last star on several of these reviews. I love the band The Killers (I heard 3 of their songs while I was there) and a Bachman Turner Overdrive song too! But do you really mix these with my butcher steak over gluten-free risoto of my date Vegetarian Lasagna? C'mon Zeal. Just get a DJ to play on Fridays/Saturdays pretentious lounge music or put on a low-level electronics nobody understands. Get the waiting staff in any color. Most people want to feel cooler than we are actually, and we pay for the privilege. As it was, I felt very satisfied with the food, price and service, but the ambience confused me."

"We left the restaurant disappointed this time. I truly think this is the best value restaurant on the Phoenix metro areas west side. Almost always excellent food and service. This time was much different. We had to send back one of our meals and sides. The steak was overcooked to medium well medium rare was requested and one of the sides was cold. Service was not timely. Please note that this was an anomaly. I believe this was a direct result of the opening of restaurants by our governor, lack of staffing due to COVID, and an understandable inability to obtain the necessary staff to cope with the influx of patrons. We will continue to visit AHG but, will wait a few more months until the climate settles down"

"My family and I celebrated my parents’ birthday with a party of 21. The food was incredible, Ronnie was our server and was highly attentive to any of our needs and the atmosphere was even better in person then the website. Vigan, the manager was so helpful with our reservations, answered any questions that we had and is very patient. He was constantly checking on our party, ensured that we were enjoying ourselves and everything was going accordingly. If you are in a search for dinner plans, party reservations or even just drinks at the bar stop your search, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Vigan Ronnie for your incredible service! Our family was able to have such an incredible experience."

"After late arrival at our hotel due to strong traffic. I tried to contact the restaurant to advise them, I would be a few minutes too late. HORRIBLE... the phone number listed on their website is incorrect, no way to contact them via their website. Hotel Concierge has provided another telephone number. Whatever didn't work. I was over 20 minutes. From research for the number of restaurant) Can not change the time for booking online. And the Kabuki website does not even have a listing or location for the restaurant where I had reservations. It was a complete nightmare."

"Excellent fast service and gourmet level menu. We started with mussels in a marinara sauce that was cooked exactly right. I loved the homemade sauce. It was cooked right. The lemon sole over garlic spinach was excellent. Fresh tasting like a homemade meal. I'm looking forward to returning. My only complaint is that it's not around the corner of me."

"We stopped during our vacation to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The food was fabulous. We had the smoked salmon crostini appetizer, delicious! I'm never a smoked salmon fan as he tends to be very fishy, but that was so fresh.. without this strong smoked salmon aftertaste.. and so delicious! I had the Zedernplank salmon so delicious for my entrée. My husband had the Gumbo, said it was the best he ever had.. along with the BLVD sampler, also so delicious! Our server was so attentive and very appealing, I totally forgot his name. so sorry! He was also kind enough to write a free dessert plate with happy birthday on him next to a sample of cheesecake! Be careful, we ordered the Crème Brule Trio thought it would be a sampler board NOT!! it is definitely too much for two people to share. We couldn't finish it! But again, so delicious!!! The only drawback is that is very loud in the restaurant. We had a difficult time to talk to each other. It seemed a diner or burger joint before BLVD seafood, according to the decor and decor. The tables are very close together, there is also a bar area. It is a very small restaurant, so reservations are recommended for busy nights. You can certainly not expect a quiet, intimate dinner. I'm not sure why the sound level was so high, but the food makes it safe. Fine food safe!!"

"such a terrible experience. our reservation was for 6 people at 3:00 a.m. on vatertag, as I drove there at 2:30, I got a phone call that says there was a mistake and that they did not make any reservations, I said that I received both a text and an email, and I have people who meet me at 3:00 a.m. there, they said sadly, we tried to vater and get the open table for the block. I then asked well how long this is waiting for 6 people, she said 20 30 minutes. I went there, came at 2:40 to enter my name, as my reservation was canceled and the place is empty. there was no waiting time at all. so frustrating. the food was very subpar, asked for my meat to cook well, it came rarely, had to send it back. He was very fat. I asked for brown rice, white rice got no good experience and I won't be back."

"My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary there the last 6 years. Needless to say we have ALWAYS had superb food and service no matter how we were dressed.... Sonny's establishment hires some of the finest cooks and servers and upon talking to our server last night she stated it was one of the most supportive, and caring establishments she's ever worked for. Scott and I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and Beef Carpaccio SUPERB!! We then shared the Bacon Wrapped Filet, which was cooked to order and they didn't blink twice about us sharing a meal. When we first got there it was 5:30. Restaurant was totally empty and the staff was most accommodating. We ordered a flight of their Port Selection for desert and was not disappointed in the least. Once again, our server was quick in telling us about each glass and was truly thrilled in watching us savor each glass. By the end of the evening 2 hours later the restaurant was full (Scott and I like to watch how the staff interacts with customers), and the serving staff was interacting with each of their tables and the atmosphere was delightful. We highly suggest Sonny Lubicks and do not doubt you will have the meal of your life."

"We ate at Sundried Tomato once about 3 years ago and enjoyed the meal. This time was a different experience. The restaurant was very crowded and the noise level is quite high, which is tolerable if you're prepared for that. Service was fair and the food mediocre. Spring roll appetizers were too crunchy and nearly flavorless. Lamb chops were tasty but the accompanying potatoes were under-cooked and not very tasty. Overall a mediocre dining experience."

"The food here is outstanding...one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever eaten at! We started our meal with stuffed mushrooms...they were small and tasty. We also tried the crispy rice with tofu we asked for no mayonnaise. This was phenomenal! I like food a little less spicy so I didn't eat the jalapeño that was placed on top. The kale salad made me a kale convert. It was so delicious that I bought the ingredients and tries to replicate it at home. The different vegetarian sushis are so tasty! Service is great and they have gluten free soy sauce. Very knowledgeable and patient wait staff! Updated from previous review on Monday February 17, 2014"

"Not a good date place. Other locations are a bit fancier We went for our anniversary thinking it was the same, but the place even at 9pm was full of little kids, tank tops, and flip flops. Very noisy, football on tv, kids yelling and wandering the tight isle. Fine for what it is, but google images are misleading. They are not the Rancho Cucamonga location! I felt very over dressed in my button up shirt! Lol My wife felt very out of place in a skirt and heels We ended up quickly making a reservation elsewhere and going there for dinner and drinks Appetizers were ok Wife’s mango margarita was less than ok"

"The Filet was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The roasted Brussels Sprouts were flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked. Both of my guests ordered the “Fall Special” a 4 oz filet and a rock lobster tail and the lobster was cooked beautifully and tender. This is THE best steak restaurant in San Antonio and well worth the price."

"Would’ve appreciated a true recommendation rather than saying “this wine is good” from the server. Wanted more detail on the tasting notes. Markup was high, but about typical for a “wine bar”. I didn’t find the selection too appealing, but the wine served was decent and it was good to branch out and try some Spanish reds. The atmosphere was lovely and always is. I believe the GM/owner delivered the charcuterie board and went into detail about everything on the plate- which I absolutely adored. He always does a lovely job and I appreciate seeing him there. I’ll be back again."

"We had a very mixed experience at the Italian Barrel. We dined there on a Sunday evening. When the waiter came by we let him know that my wife was gluten free. We were very surprised to learn that the restaurant had almost no gluten free options. In addition they did very little to accommodate her gluten free diet, telling us that almost every menu item was preprepared in the kitchen with either bread crumbs or flour. We eat out often in Italian restaurants in the US and throughout Italy and almost never find a restaurant that does not have at least one variety of gluten free pasta. In addition, after we ordered our meal, my wife ended up ordering salads, we heard the waiter reading the specials to another table. We were never told of the specials. On the positive side the wine list, especially the wines by the glass is excellent. They have a wide variety of quality Italian wines. I ordered a ravioli dish which was very good. They were prepared perfectly al dente with a light, flavorful red sauce. While in New Orleans we ate at some of the city’s finest restaurants GW Fins, Galatoires, Commanders Palace, but the Italian Barrel had by far with highest prices of the group. With fewer courses and drinks our meal at the Italian Barrel was our most expensive of the week"

"that was my first time in kabuki in brea. I was in santa clarita in another kabuki. the menu in santa clarita had many more Izakaya elements that I enjoy (his Japanese origin). that was a reason why I gave a 3 star review under food. the other reason was that I felt that I had a Korean food experience not had a Japanese food experience (in a Japanese restaurant). from rice to the taste of sukiyakis to the Tempoura battery and even the Tempoura dimmer sauce, the objects did not taste like a Japanese cook had made them."
