"the new old woman hostess is horrible at her job. it was busy tonight which i completely understand but my family and i have been coming here for YEARS. im a young girl, i got there before my dad i asked her for a table for 3. she said “well do you have a reservation?” and then proceeded to roll her eyes and shrug her shoulders when i told her no. 5 plus years i’ve never made a reservation also being that im willing to wait. kathy the owner came out and the old woman proceeded to point to the people behind me and skip me and ignore me and kathy was like wait what about her? meaning me. then it got so much more packed so many more people came the old woman had went and hid in the back on purpose. when she came back out finally after 20 minutes, i asked her if there was a list or something because again i was willing to wait. she SCREAMS and says “I HAVE TO HELP RESERVATIONS FIRST” like learn to talk to PAYING customers. then my father gets there, she realizes hes friends with the owner she made up a lie that the WHOLE time she thought the owner was helping me because she knows she was useless and horrible towards me. the customers behind me noticed what was going on and asked me if i was okay because she was just that awful. that woman should not have a job there, and im not even mad about it being too busy or having to wait, thats understandable. i’m mad that she has 0 class and treats customers so terribly. We ended up walking out because of how poorly she treated the guests."

"My husband and I have birthdays two days apart so we decided to have an early dinner at Pearl East in Manhasset, NY. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front desk (who I’ve never seen before) was rude and insisted on seating us at a small table when I asked if we could be seated at a larger table. Our plates were hanging over the edge of the table. This is the first time we were denied a larger table and there were only four other people dining in the restaurant. Shortly after we were seated, two women came in and asked for a larger table; and yes, they were accommodated. Our Server was attentive but the hostess’s lack of professionalism put a damper on our meal."

"I just moved to the area this week and wasn't feeling making dinner. I've been wanting to try East China, and tonight was the night! I ordered pickup via Doordash, and while it took a little longer than I anticipated for it to be ready, it is DEFINITELY worth the wait! My chicken pad Thai could ONLY be improved by being spicier (I'll note that in my order next time). The Thai tea with brown sugar Boba is PERFECTION. Holy COW, I am blown away, and I will be back regularly! Thank you, ladies gents!"

"Celebrated with cousin on her wedding anniversary. Bill came out to about $600+ for 6 adults. Asked for medium on the steaks but all came out pretty ****. They had pre-cut the steaks for us prior to serving so the chef should’ve been able to see how raw it was. Did not bother sending it back. Not sure if we’d go back again. Service was excellent but food was just mediocre."

"I came here as a delivery person to pick up an order for a customer. I showed them the order on my phone, they turned over the order they then asked me to confirm. They insisted that I show them me starting the delivery which is a violation of the customers privacy and grounds for my deactivation. They continued to ask and harass me to start the delivery. I refused to show them my phone cause it’s my phone, and they can’t deputize and micromanage my property. They proceeded to follow me out side like a gang, to “retrieve” the order. One of the men literally started grabbing at my backpack, and sizing me up to fight. One woman put her legs between my bike so I couldn’t escape this horrible situation. I called the cops and they got their food back and I lost out on a trip. That customers food probably got cold by the time that delivery got canceled. They were not professional, they were thugs! I reported them right afterwards. Even the cops said they were in the wrong. They have no decorum or remorse. Uber and door dash delivery drivers kept your business going when the city shut down and you repay us by hostility and physical aggression. Do not support this business as a courier or a customer. They are terrible !"

"I use to love this place. Not anymore. It’s too loud. The prices have gone parabolic. They charge $6-$7 per piece of nigiri sushi. That’s insane. What are we in Manhattan??? Never again. Our waitress was not attentive. She also first gave me a $14 glass of wine that was literally a shot of wine. I made her get more. It was such an insufferable experience and over $150 for two people. Come on!"

"Nice ambience, terrific location overlooking the river, and genuinely terrific food. Out friends took us to Lucky Garden from over an hour away. They've been going there for more than ten years because they like it so much. There was an ownership change and my friends say the quality hasn't gone down at all. I had a Szechuan tofu dish right off the menu. It was very good and seemed entirely authentic (I lived a short time in Hong Kong but have never been to Szechuan Province; I have, however, spent a lifetime eating Chinese every chance I get). I found the vegetable dumplings to be a little dull; the wrapper, although a little thick, was perfectly flavored. My wife had mushu shrimp. It was delightful; the plum sauce was oddly thick, which that may be a regional variation, to but it had a great flavor. One of our friends ate from the buffet which I gather he always enjoys. The other had a steamed seafood assortment that she enjoyed very much. We will definitely be going back, commute and all. I couldn't recommend Lucky Garden more highly"

"I was not overwhelmed by the food. We all agreed that it was average, which may be good for Norman. It was not bad, we were just looking for a good asian restaurant and did not find it. There were two other large parties there and I think that is why the service was slow. However, the music was very good. There was a young lady singing and playing the guitar and she has a lot of talent. I hope she finds a better venue to showcase what she has to offer."

The restaurant is small, so there may be a wait, but I personally have not experienced this. The servers are attentive, polite, and patient. The food is served at a reasonable pace, so there is minimal waiting time. Overall, I have had a positive experience with the service and food quality during all of my visits."
