"We went for our daughters birthday on Sat of Sept We ordered the Pu Pu platter. A chicken dish, a porterhouse and a bacon wrapped fillet. The Pu Pu platter had assorted shrimp dishesmeat sticks and dumplings. One of the shrimp dishes appeared to be shrimp parm. It was a blob of tomato sauce with cheese on top. Unrecognizable just a blob of food that came out in one lump, not individual shrimp. The dumplings ware all I can say is slimy. Very strange. My porterhouse had absolutely no flavor, ho grill marks , no sear, nothing. It looked like it was take from frozen and put in an over. I also ordered a wild mushroom sauce, salty and gloppy. My daughters fillet was about the size of an egg and according to her tasteless also. I expect a restaurant that has the name of a steak in its name and server steak, to actually serve tasty food. Steer clear and don't waste your money. Oh and it wasn't cheap either. Really disappointing. Wont be back"

"Dining here is a real time-saver. I've never encountered a pepper grinder quite like this one before—I'm not even sure it's called a pepper grinder! Whatever its name, I definitely want one just like it. It was enormous! I honestly thought it would take two or three people to prepare a salad with that thing. The size and capacity were impressive; you could hold so much pepper in it. I can’t imagine they need to refill it more than once a year. If I had a grinder like that at home, I’d probably only need to top it up every 10 to 15 years! Now I’m really tempted to invest in one, but there's a catch: I’d need someone to help me with it since there's no way to use that thing solo. Maybe it’s just the motivation I need to avoid solitude. Thank you for giving Gennaro a reason not to be alone while serving up such delicious food!"

"My first time here...a graduation celebration. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was 5�. I had the swordfish special with 2 shrimp atop the swordfish which included the most delicious rice and vegetable sides I've ever eaten. Seriously? I'm not a rice person but, this entree could change that quickly. Others had the shrimp, seared scallops, baked oysters, the calamari small plate and Caesar salad made right at the table. "Went here mid-day on Saturday and the place was quite full, and so a little noisy, but really not bad. Would have loved any type of a view but were almost as far from the windows as you could get which was a little disappointing especially after having driven an hour to meet friends there. But the food was good, as was the wine/drink list. Nothing terribly special/fancy but very tasty and at reasonable prices. Service was also good, with our waiter quite willing to take the obligatory table picture."

"The staff tried. The food was wedding food, and not oh wow that is great wedding food just eh I can eat some of this to survive. The Maitre D came at the end, when our card had already been taken, and asked about the meal. We were polite but let him know we were not satisfied. We told him we understood staffing trouble and he told us the troubles they were having. He said dessert was on him but then said bill had already been rung so he gave us a note for the next time? he took our plates of dinner which had barely been touched and when asked if we wanted a box and we quickly said no he didn?t once offer a refund or any compensation beyond the dessert. They are dreadfully understaffed so taking 30 minutes for a drink, having empty water glasses for another 30, an hour until apps are all understandable with the staff issue. My dirty martini wasn?t dirty. My husbands mint and cucumber mojito had no mint the second time. The only food that was what we would call in the range of good was escargot and the fried oysters. The Brie tasted as if it had turned. The seafood chowder was bland, the Cesar salad was soggy, the ribeye was COVERED in bland brown gravy, chicken piccata was flavorless and a bit chewy and all the vegetables seemed to be ready for purée they were steamed and no detectable seasoning. We actually asked an hour and a half in to cancel the entrees if not started, we just wanted to leave. The waiter said they were almost ready and being people who hate to waste or inconvenience we said okay we will wait. We shouldn?t of, the meal and tip was $200 and we still had to get another meal that night. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and our original plan for 18 21st was canceled due to a flooded kitchen. This place was recommended as somewhere to dress up for and get great food. It would make for a romantic wedding venue and had we just gone for a drink we may have had a different view but the food, it just was not good if you like flavorful food, or .. fresh food.
