"The food was great and service was exceptional (hard to find in Cape May during summer). We went there for dinner around 7pm, didn't have a reservation, while the restaurant was pretty much full, but my wife and I were seated right away. The kitchen was definitely backlogged as the food did take a while, but our waiter, James, was on his game and more than made up for the wait. The food itself was also worth the wait, my wife had the Chicken Marsala and I the Gnocchi, both delicious, but the Marsala took the W. "I usually do not leave reviews however, I wanted to express my disappointment with this restaurant. It is definitely an odd building and layout for a restaurant but I can appreciate the character. We sat on the patio which I liked and preferred. Service to the table was slow at first but salads, app and drinks came out fast. From there downhill. Dinner took an hour to come out as well as our children’s meals, which was disappointing being that it is extremely hard for kids as young as ours to sit that long but they were patient. Waitress said kitchen was behind but the restaurant was not full. The food to me was terrible. I ordered portobello with crabmeat that was ruined by being drowned in Alfredo sauce. To the point you could even see what was under it. The vegetables were cold and def frozen. My husband did not care for his Chicken parm. Also, the bathrooms were not clean. Would not return there next time we are in Hershey."

"My dad recently passed away suddenly and I had to help figure out the plans. I googled places to hold a reception because I really had no idea except places like fire halls. Duffers Mill popped up. I?ve passed this place a million times since I?ve lived in this area almost my whole life but never ventured down the hill. Went to their website and found a PHENOMENAL price for what they had to offer. Thought ok, let?s put an inquiry in. Now this was a Sunday when I inquired online. Figured I might hear back on Monday or might need to follow up Tuesday. No, what seemed like seconds later I received a call from the GM Anthony! He was AMAZING! Customer service is top notch! I wanted to say yes as soon as I spoke to him but had to review our choices with others. We said yes to Duffers! Got everything set up and fast forward to the day of the reception. Our entire family and guests were beyond pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food! Brooke was our server and she did an awesome job! Kept up on everything and didn?t let a drink go empty! The kitchen staff did an exceptional job preparing and executing the food! The chef was outstanding! All the food was delicious! I want more chicken piccata! Thank you Duffers Mill staff for a job well done and a great memory to celebrate my dad! I hope you get recognized for the work that you do! You have gained new customers!"

"This restaurant is the worst. We had the unfortunate experience of going to a birthday party here. What a mistake. 25 minutes before we even got bread water. It took an hour to drink. 1 1/2 hour to get our meals. Terrible food. Terrible service. Not God. It's a shame!"

"We have been going to Rays Grill for Christmas Eve for many years. This year was not even close to the experience we've had in years past extremely disappointed. There was a lack of attention to detail that effected the ambiance and dining experience such as the way we were greeted, no table clothes or decorations on the tables, no hot bread available, and an overall less than average experience. The food was good but not exceptional as in years past. This will be the last year for our family to include Rays Grill in our celebration of the holidays. It's unfortunate."
