"my partner and I have made reservations for an early dinner at the bach. there are not so many vegan options, but all we have ordered was fresh and made with seasonal fruit and vegetables. for a starter we had the novo lettuce wraps with tofu. I liked how it was served like a self-built packaging. the tofu was light, crispy and well seasoned, and there were three different sauces to immerse the package. we ordered the chow novo and the vegan version of thai red curry. the chow novo was not amusing, but the red curry was the best curry I ever had. it had exactly the right amount of seasoned and cocos milk with sweet and tangy anaslese to compensate all the aromes. but the most memorable part of our dinner was the chocolate caronut. not lying. the combination of chocolate and fresh fruit was a life-changing experience for me! although novo is on the pricy side, the whole evening meal was worth every penny. updated by previous review on 2021-07-10"

"Was told this was the best steakhouse in Alton Illinois. So we gave it a shot. Children got a kids cheese pizza, and for $6 each the quantity and quality was pretty good, 5/5. Wife and grandmother got the shrimp scampi, both said it was kinda bland, but it is just a garlic butter sauce so I can see that. Shrimp was kinda light for the shrimp to pasta ratio, but enough pasta for two that was for sure, 4/5. I had the 6oz pepper loin with loaded baked tater. Potato was great in size, pepper loin might of been a light 6oz but plenty in flavor. Ordered a med got med well. Now the reason for the only 4stars. Noticed on ticket, we were up charged for things that were supposed to be included like strawberry vinaigrette, $4upcharge but was supposed to be included. And a 2.75% credit card fee. Kinda odd. I run my own business and don’t have to charge cc fees to cover just odd. Especially with no notice. Atmosphere is nice, but after 6pm seems to get rather loud, couldn’t hear the person two seats to my left without them yelling. Overall, wed give it another go, just withdraw cash first."

"Service here is phenomenal because they treat you with so much respect. The filet is juicy, tender, and is probably the best steak in the country. The creamed spinach and Caesar salad are delicious as well. First class restaurant and has New Orleans roots with the founder!"

"the fondue was just okay. the chicken wings had a good taste, but a bit salty. on the other side the bark cabob was spiced, but the bark was tender and melted in the mouth. we also had the buffalo chicken bread. if they like gorgonzola when they want it, but it was too strong for us. the personal is super friendly, the place has no love to the detail: they can see Ziploc packs under the hostage. next to the bar is a stand with clean glasses that could be thrown away. on the curse sit some dirty wuts on some chairs"

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"The manager was gracious and efficient! Our server, Janelle, phenomenal! Janelle knows the menu, always goes above and beyond to serve, and never intrudes. Such a perfect server! Julian was kind enough to run to Alley Cat to pick up some wines to bring home. BTW try the onion rings! Paired with a bottle of ‘a Rina 2017 perfect match!"

"While other tables were served bread right away, we did not receive any. After we finished our meals, we waited for about 15 minutes, hoping to order dessert, but we couldn’t locate our waiter. Finally, I asked another waitress for a takeout box for leftovers and to find our waiter for the check. She returned with the bag for our leftovers, and shortly after, our waiter appeared with the bill. Needless to say, his tip reflected the level of service we received."

"I think the Lookout Bar and Grill was understaffed for the bookings they took. Table service was slow to non-existent. Several patrons had to go to the bar and get their drinks and menus after waiting for an unacceptably long time. The meals were ordinary and overpriced. It's a shame because it is a resort and generally patrons are happy to pay a higher price knowing where they're at, but without service, it makes the whole experience disappointing."

"Love this place! Visiting from NC and we definitely need this place back home! I had the Peachtree Street to drink was made to perfection, the Rose` linguine is amazing, we also had cosmopolitans and the veal pastrami sandwich which were also delicious! Again I say....PLEASE bring this to NC! Ryan our waiter was awesome, very helpful! Atmosphere and restaurant layout is great...definitely will co.e back for brunch some jazz! "We were seated 30 min after our reservation time. It seems that there was some poor planning on how long folks were going to sit at their table. Our server was excellent! The food was great. Drinks were good but were a bit overpriced for what they were. Overall a good experience, but the value didn’t quite live up to the price tag. We may go back, but this is maybe a once a year visit."

"Service was really just ok. took an hour to get seated (should have made reservations before hand… someone seated another couple at our table by accident so we had to wait longer to get seated. food was great and definitely made up for the wait! great wine, steak was cooked perfectly and was insanely tender, and they brought out a beautiful slice of cake for my moms birthday with a cool candle that SHOT flames into the air. would definitely come back for the food alone!!! thanks!"
