"Our first time to eat there. Overall a good experience but for 2 things. We had an 8:45 reservation after noting on the website that the kitchen closed at 9:30. The mgr ? called my cell at 845 as we were walking up to ask if we were coming and that they closed at 9! I found that rude confusing and a bit of a poor start. Also we ordered a bottle of wine that came to the table already opened with the cork sticking out of the top. Certainly makes one suspicious that the wine ordered was replaced with a cheaper variety. Any wine consumer knows that is never proper wine etiquette. Generally being a non-complainer, I did not say anything about it although our out of state friend noticed it and commented about it to the table. All in all the food was good and our waiter was very friendly articulate and knowledgeable about the menu. I will return if given the opportunity but will have my eye on the wine!"

"This place is one of the many GEMS in San Francisco! If you’re looking for a great dinner, with FRESH food, excellent service, delicious recipes, and perfect portions, THIS IS THE PLACE. I’m not much of a Lamb eater, but the Costoletta di Vitello is a MUST TRY for all meat lovers. The Chicken Marsala was also a hit, and don’t forget to get a slice of Tiramisu before you leave or you WILL REGRET IT. "prime rib far overpriced at $50. ordered med rare and was well made. sent it back and got a piece that was 50% fat. Potato side dish was very good. the butternut square raviolis were great. the lasagna,- brot and zeasarsalat were great. would recommend bringing their own wein and paying the $20 cork fee. there will probably be another chance."

"Love the new Baron Long patio extension. The food is excellent a good value. The only consistent problem we have is that the service is very slow. The servers are spread way too thin. Once you get someone's attention, they are pleasant and accommodating, but we spent most of our last meal flagging someone down to get items that were missing or refills, etc. If they can nail that part, they would easily get 5 stars from us!"

"The food was excellent. The booth was a little tight. The only thing that was bad was the amount of flies in the indoor dining area and it got really hot inside. There where less outside. They need to do a hostess stand outside to keep the bugs out. I can't wait to come back and eat there."
