"This restaurant was really good. I have doubts eversince the sushi place above this restaurant was closed for good, unfortunately, in which I think it was called rock n sushi or similar. Anyways, the whole expirence was good. Service was very top notch. Our waitress offered us many options and choices, including her favorites/recommendation. That's a 5 star service from me and my firends well. Just dont get turned away from the actual tables themselves, they're sticky because its laminated, that's something to be kept in mind before being seated."

"Varied asian menu. Good veggie lo mein and Emperor's Beef. Sushi sampler was flavorless and had small/thin pieces. Got a Black Dragon Roll- the eel on top had its skin- so not for all. Service was slow and I had to keep calling waiter over for water or to clear dishes even though the restaurant was only about 25% full. Prices are slightly on the higher end but not bad. An average grab a bite place."

"my beloved wokano in burbank has set me up today. I was there and was looking forward to having the huhn lo mine and it came extremely salty. I ate the upper part that had less salt. at the time of demand for the scary I asked the waiter whether they can add a little more nudels to make it less salty because I want to take the rest of him home, said the waiter that extra will be I would ask that I had asked earlier if he brought it along (as one will make a difference) I told him that if I had asked for it to be past, or that they should have added it again. he said he would have to talk to the manager, long story short manager came with (to wear an airpod on the right ear, he didn't remove it to talk to me.) I showed him how much soy sauce was in the plate (one of the pictures) in which it is not so. he said I would have to pay extra if I wanted to do more noodles to make it less salty. So I left the rest of the food there (more than half the teller) manager that I wore an airpod in an ohr, really? gosh, I miss really good customer service."

"Eating is terrible. besides fried dumplings that were good. tempura veggies were rock-hard asparagus powder and not chewable, green bean also raw texture, and could not even get teeth in the pumpkin. chicken mixture in salad casings had strange hard pieces in it, maybe cartilage? and very little taste except salt. nothing to recommend this place. we went back to the hotel and had an ice because we were starving."

"We love the food but they’ve had challenges with the service staff from the beginning. Huge turnover. In managers as well as wait staff. Last night was especially annoying. We went early to avoid crowds. There were only 3 tables occupied. We ordered an appetizer roll and our two entrees. We waited and waited. Usually the appetizer comes within 10 minutes. Sometimes 5 minutes. At 20 minutes we flagged down a service person (not the one who took our order) and asked if he could please check on the appetizer. About 10 minutes went by and then the appetizer and entrees were brought to our table. I asked if this was a new thing, bringing the appetizer with the entrees and I was told they came out at the same time because the appetizer had to be cooked. Pretty lame answer. Poor food flow management. When we finished eating we waited at least 15 minutes. for someone to come and check on us. Finally we asked for the check and a box to take home what was left of our entrees. We waited. Again. Finally the check and the box came. We paid, left a tip that should have sent a message and noted on the check that the food was excellent but the service was terrible."

"After bible study, our group came to Wockano for dinner. The food was remarkable and we enjoyed the atmosphere very much. However, it was our server Lauren who made this a night to remember. Lauren was friendly and professional. She anticipated our needs and superseded our expectations. She made us feel taken care of and she showed genuine interest in our experience. Because of Lauren, we will definitely be coming back again and we made sure to communicate that to her. As an added bonus, she went out of her way to make sure the manager honored our $10 discount for each of us. It made this experience special."

"A very nice place to eat with a varied menu covering several Asian foods. Everything we had was excellent. Waiter was good. Drinks were good. Prices were reasonable. The only difficult thing was trying to figure out the parking garage which is confusing until you have circled around it a few times. Unfortunately we were there longer than the validation covered and the lack of labeling on the ticket exit machine leaves you wondering how to pay the balance. I include that only because it is part of the restaurant experience. I would come back again if I was in the area."

"Salvador, the manager, is rude, dismissive and a liar. I was confused when I walked in and was told my pickup order from Postmates wasn't ready considering the app said it was. The manager mentioned my name and told me the order had not gone through and that it was the apps issue so I had to contact them because he had not gotten paid. He raised his voice and gave me attitude. Fast forward to me calling Postmates, where Salvador used my phone to connect with Postmates. He told them he had seen the order and had not accepted it. He wanted me to place the order again directly through the store. I was extremely disappointed because I had driven all the way during lunch hour to not be able to get my food for which the transaction had already been posted on my CC. Apparently this is not the first time Salvador doesn't accept people's orders. If the Franchise owner wishes to know how I have this information you can feel free to reach out."

"edit: 2022 reviewer confirms with management that Veg elements are not labeled as vegetarian, and most are also vegan. my review changed to reflect the update. my friend and I went to pingpong last night and let our waiter know we're vegan. we ordered some items specially labeled vegetarian on the menu we were ordered and said vegan. our waiter returned from the kitchen after we have taken our order to let us know that all objects are made with a brown sauce, despite the marked vegetarian, with oyster sauce. we asked him if this could be changed because we were told that they were vegan, so he went back to the kitchen to check. when he returned, he let us know that they could not be modified, and could therefore not be made vegetarian, although clearly marked vegetarian. he showed us the items that could be made vegan, so we went with the lotus pad thai and modified fried rice. they were both very tasty, and the waiter was very nice and helpful, but it was disappointing that a restaurant would be the products as vegetarian if they did not. updated by previous review on 2019-11-03"

"Wokcano has a special place in our hearts, because when we were married 100 million years ago, we had our rehearsal at Pasadena. They were very nice to us, they offered vegetarian options that were not on the menu, and we loved it. It's been over for a long time and we were excited to see that there was a location here in Santa Clarita Valley where we moved recently. The menu is similar to what we remember, but there are more vegetarian options available to order that excites us because we are vegetarians. Everything we ordered was delicious! (except the Dragon's Breath Cocktail. My wife and I shared the Orange Crispy Tofu, the Vegan Kung Pao Chicken and the fried rice. It was a little strange to order fried rice as they have a few variations on the menu that we want only the basic ones, and we had to convince the waitress that it actually existed by showing it to her on the menu. But it was quickly cleaned up and we got what we ordered. The orange crispy tofu was delicious and easily remembered the dish with chicken when we ate the meat. The Vegan Kung Pao Chicken was really delicious, with the cave that the soy chicken was actually a little undercooked? This was surprising as in non-vegetarian restaurants you notice that the faux-meat options are often overcooked. This dish would have been absolutely perfect if the artificial chicken was cooked a little longer. The basic fried rice was also really delicious and we do not have the need to have ordered one of the other variations from it to get a really nice tasting rice dish. Portions were also generous, so the next day we take a lot home and eat. The Dragon's Breath Cocktail was disappointing. It was not very well mixed and the only taste I really came out was the alcohol that is not really what I want when I spend a lot of money on a cocktail. That was said, these vegetarian dishes were delicious and we would definitely come back to have them again and try other things. There is a full sushi bar and many other fine drinks to taste.
