"ATMOSPHERE SERVICE: The restaurant itself is great and creatively typical of a British pub. I must note the restroom door, which is like something off of Harry Potter where it is hidden within a bookshelf. The decor is great. The staff friendly and helpful.THE FOOD: My wife is from County Durham, England, and I have lived over there for some time with her. I was excited to bring her here for a feel of home. The staff and atmosphere are great. However, the owner must have something against vegetarians and vegans. There is no Beyond or Impossible burger patty options despite the pub being in an area where there certainly will be many vegans and vegetarians. No effort at all to make options for vegetarians or vegans, besides perhaps an accidentally vegetarian cheese sandwich. In the UK nowadays, nearly all pubs and restaurants include such options on their menus. This would have been a favorite place of ours. As it stands, we will not be returning unless it is just for drinks on a night."

"We have eaten at this restaurant previously but have never been put in the back dining room. Since there were 6 of us that’s apparently where the big groups are seated. Unfortunately large groups are loud and every table was filled. It was very hard to hear our fellow table mates. I probably won’t book there again with a large group. On the other hand the food was good as was our server. When we come back it will be just with my husband."

"Our daughter was visiting from Virginia Beach and we wanted to treat her to brunch. She had the apple, cheese, bacon sandwich and enjoyed it. Several of us had the cinnamon French toast. It was so good and way too much to eat. Took it home for later. I had the caprese frittata the tomatos and the balsamic vinegar really enhanced the taste. Service was excellent. Cy (sigh) was so helpful and accommodating. Anything we asked for he made it happen. Cy was training Chris. They made an efficient team. My only concern with our experience was it was WAY too loud. We couldn’t even hear each other talking. It was disappointing to not be able to visit with our daughter."

"We came on St. Patrick’s Day and I was a little disappointed when I heard your reservation will not be honored today and you’ll have a cover charge but that was quickly quelled with a table for three and a fun waiter and a fun experience. I had the cabbage and corned beef and it was pretty good. It was so good to see smiling faces in a mask free environment! I’ll be back."

"Listen, it's a pub in midtown. It's not the most gourmet food you have ever had. Are you expecting that? What it is is serviceable, with tasty food, and definitely under-priced for the area. The cocktail drinks are generous, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It's what I want when I'm eating a fast meal before a Broadway show. Spot on."

"To begin, Ella, our waitress was INCREDIBLE. Just the sweetest. I haven't been to this pub because I usually visit another north. However, she recommended the fish and chips, saying that they were the best.... And honestly? I can't argue. They were absolutely delicious and perfectly baked and crispy. Baker will definitely be a new clamp for me. (But in secret; I feel like a traitor; Don't tell my other pub! Thank you. Ella takes care of my colleagues and me! You were phenomenal and you gave us so good. Cheers!"

"this is the kind of place to love eating on seafood eater and veg*ns will be mystified as why. I think I am biased, I don't like seafood restaurants where the sweet food tends to be overpriced, uninspired and weakly fishy. I had the Kale salad and some of it was yellow. I was there with a group and didn't pick it up, but it's definitely not a place where I'd dress happy ****. it is a little sad cuh honest. Sure, there are several salads that they can delete enough ingredients until they are vegan, but just a stone throw away from green elephant. if they say something in the thing, they go somewhere else!"

"I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. There were a lot of good and bad reviews but honestly, this place was great. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a poppy bagel and that bagel was soooo good. It held the sandwich together without getting chewy or soggy. I wish the OJ was freshly made in house and wish it was a little cheaper. But.... Based on the area and how fresh the food was, it's not a big deal to pay a little more. Staff was super kind to everyone while I sat and ate. Got my food quickly, they kept checking on me to make sure I was good. Not more you can ask for from a breakfast spot. Would love to come back to try the Nutella French toast."
