"FINALLY! It is so hard to find a great sushi restaurant in the Aventura Sunny Isles Beach area, but finally delivers Shigemi! We had it twice and both were fresh, delicious and fast. The first was a birthday party delivery for 20 people who all left happy, and the second, was just a quick UberEats order for 2. Spicy Tuna, California, salmon sushi, toro sushi, shrimp tempoura special role, etc... to name some. FYI: This is where the old “Sumo” restaurant was; opposite Pinnacle Acqualina in strip with Timo."

"We were their for my dad’s birthday on restaurant week. Prixe fix menu $60/ea which is a great deal! Uni truffle donate is a must try!! The waitress was friendly and attentive. "most foods were very, very good. high points were the sake and hamachi sashimi (very fresh, generous cuts) pork bell (boiled on perfection,) zartoin (shares were a little small, but meat was very tender and sweet/savory taste was good). tonkatsu, ramen, huhn and Kara-Age were in order. was not really a fan of okonomiyaki or the reis Slider, as the consistency for both was a little to gooey for me. our server was very personal and the courts came out quite timely. drinks on the other side, took too long. the room itself was clean, and cozy, but at the same time was sitting comfortably and there was plenty of space for each diner and the various dishes. feels like a place where you can have a long, comfortable meal with close friends, a lot of food and drink. can easily go back."

"We used the delivery feature and our food came hot in 30 min from ordering! We were very impressed. We have been going to Kiku for years and the take out is just as good as dining in. A staple for us is the fried rice that comes with a delicious yum yum sauce. The beef and broccoli is another popular one for us. Our favorite sushi is the California ranch roll which is lightly deep fried. This time we also tried the Lake roll and Goofee roll. Both were good but did have quite a lot of rice. When we have eaten inside, are is ample seating including booths, and outdoor street seating in the summer. The parking in uptown can be difficult and busy."

"We were seated in a noisy section of the restaurant with sound bouncing off all of the walls. The seats on one side of the table had no backs, which made them uncomfortable. The service was barely acceptable and was punctuated at the end of the evening when a drink we ordered came 20 minutes later as we were paying the bill. We wanted to send it back, but the server said he didn 't have time to discuss it. All of that noted, the food was good. But it wasn 't good enough for me to go back again. Hopefully, you 'll have a better experience."

"one of my fav sushi spots! the fish was always fresh and super tasty, and the staff is also great (they are the best raymond! . Sometimes my partner and I go crazy and will order a buck nigger (15 but today we just took it haha. our way is always the heart, toro, and hamachi toro. if available, we also get the o toro because it is soou good! that bears in your mouth! amaebi is also excellent, they will deepen the head and they can eat the whole thing. Do not forget to ask for the fresh washabi, it is fire! in any case they give this place a try!"

"we came to a mostly empty restaurant. yet we sat beside one of the only occupied tables. we asked if we could sit elsewhere than the tables were fixed and our table would have another reservation in 1 hour 15min. none of these tables were filled during our time in the restaurant, but we were made to sit super close to another couple (the terrible table had managed, made worse by the close dead quiet of the restaurant.) we were ordered for sashimi. the 10 pieces plate. confirms with the waiter that it would not only be the ground fish (rented to order an LA card, if so.) the waiter assured us that it was not easy. it was easy and the fish was cut by someone who doesn't know sashimi. we are not coming back."
