"We were in the city of NYC for a few nights. We ordered from a few local places, and our best experience was with Frank 's. We didn't know what was good, so we ordered some items in the first night. After a not so great experience that was ordered by a local diner for breakfast, we went back with Frank's in the second night. My children who are super picky have torn off the pizza and chicken fingers. The salads were fresh and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Hoagies also get a thumb. I was surprised that the Fried Shrimp Platter was basically popcorn shrimp, but my son ate it so that a thumb also gets. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Overall delicious and comfortable."

"This is the third review I've written about this restaurant, and I have to say it's quite disappointing. The service was extremely slow, and I even found hair in my pizza. When I brought this up while paying, there was no attempt to rectify the situation. I won't be coming back, as I believe in supporting local businesses, but this one is not worth it. I will also warn my family and friends to steer clear."

"My fiancé and I loved our experience in Portofinos! The staff was attentive, friendly and punctual. We ordered the Calamari and it was delicious! The Auberginen-Rollatini was the best I ever had! The Ricotta cheese really turned out. My fiancée had the chicken french and couldn't lay down his fork. "We called ahead with a party of 12 and they were not only able to set up tables for us but serve us very well. All of the food was excellent. We had Calzones, pizza, and several pastas. The Chicken Pasta with Vodka sauce was fantastic. They have happy hour on their draft beer from 3-7 for $2.00 a 12 oz glass. Today's special, Thursday, $4.99 margaritas."

"unfortunately, I think this restaurant will take off. I have eaten dozens of paints here and it is simply not the same level of service. we were just her for a New Year's dinner and a simple thing to write our order would have prevented half the mistake. why do some servers think so good causation that they can remember their order, but if that forgets a thing that the customer now has to wait another 15 to 20 minutes longer to get the corrected order. I pay to dollar for low service. with so many dinner options on the city island, they have now lost a future parasol."

"Ordered the Settefrate pizza without cheese, lasagna and Rhode Island Fried Calamari. The restaurant called to confirm the order within a few minutes which is amazing service. The food arrived quickly and hot. The pizza was delicious, the calamari cooked to perfection and lasagna wowza! Not many places cook calamari correctly. Pellici's does it right! "One of the first places where I and my wife go when we met 12 years ago. it was a fantastic family square with a big train inside. Today, what was a bit of a change, the restaurant looks somewhat typical. "I picked up takeout from this restaurant and just had the margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella. It’s the closest experience to Italy I've had here in the States! The flavor is fantastic! The mozzarella sticks are incredibly delicious with a beer batter, especially when dipped in the ranch dressing. I can't wait to get home and try the spinach ravioli!"
