"KUMO GOT ME THROUGH BAR EXAM PREP! I had kumo multiple times a week while at home studying for the bar exam for two months straight and every time I was so happy because the food is delicious. I even decided that lunch special chicken terriakyi was what I’d have for the first day of the Bar Exam, so my dad picked it up and brought it to the hotel I was taking it in in Uniondale during my lunch break. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Their lunch special are reasonable priced and they give a great amount! I’ve also been eating here since I went to VSN north and will keep continuing to do so! "First we sat at the sushi bar and they offered us twice a on the house roll but we are vegan so didn?t get to enjoy sadly. But they let us make up our own roll and it was so good! The spicy edamame is delicious. And they gave us a complimentary pineapple bowl for Chinese New Year and I?m guessing the manager came over and talked to us about being vegan and her Buddhist ritual of doing vegan twice a year. We accidentally found this place and very happy we did. we live far away from here but we will be coming back. Very good experience"

"Good Sushi, Great Ramen The atmosphere lends a nice cozy and serene feel to the dining experience. The faux warmly lit latern style lighting contributes to the Japanese decor of the dining room. The sushi was good and freshly prepared as you order. Chefs are in view behind the sushi bar. I ordered a Chicago Fire signature roll and a Spicy Crab cucumber roll. The Chicago fire roll is semi-sweet with a slight kick. With 12 pieces there is plenty even for the hungry. The crab and salmon within was flavorful and deliciously blended with the avacado and cucumber. The Spicy Crab roll looked to be typical maki roll. There was a good amount of spiciness and paired well with the wasabi-laden soy sauce blend I mixed for it. I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen to finish and was quite surprised. The chashu was tender, juicy, and savory. There was a good amount of fat along with the crisped skin and tender meat. This paired with the sunny side up egg (yolk is gooey perfection) and the slices of seafood and the noodles was great! I will definitely come back and be ordering the ramen again."

"Really nice dinner. Friendly staff, not very busy for a Friday night. Our viet egg rolls were really delicious and packed in rice paper and fried gluten-free munchies. Diving sauce was more complex than usual, but there was no cucumber or carrot to wrap. Salad shells were crispy from salad and fried noodles. Be careful not to overdo the Hoisin. Entrée was a spicy Mekong fish, although after the bold flavors of the appetizers of the fish tasted a little flat until you got some basil in the bite. For me the fish was a little too 'fish' and it was not sharp. Since it and my mouth cooled, I could taste more of the subtle flavors. Overall a very delicious, inexpensive dinner."

"Do not go here Me and my four year old went there to eat tonight for hibachi, they set us down after 15 minutes I asked if we could order and the waitress/host advised me that we would have to wait until six more people arrived before we could order. When I expressed to her that I was my four year old and he was getting impatient and wanting to eat. She told me again that we would have to wait until six more people arrived for hibachi. At this point I told her we were going to leave and she charged me four dollars for diet soda . I have never had to beg to spend $40 a plate. We were the only customers in the restaurant and yet they still turned away service by not allowing us to order/eat."

"This is one of my favorite places for sushi. Their ingredients are always very fresh and very well prepared. The Teriyaki salmon is my favorite. And in general, their teriyaki sauce and all the other sauces I've tried so far were excellent. The servers are very nice and the waiting time is usually not long. They were also very flexible with their menu items, I personally do not like shrimps and they were ready to change the shrimp part of my meal for other menu items."

"Well, they know how to earn money! I give them that. they charge $20 at the door for “Kaoke”, if it actually costs $150 for an hour. they won't tell you until you pay the $20 and get up. the actual box in which they put you has matured seats and the song selection is incredibly limited. our only microphone did not work and was never replaced. I never felt so ripped off."

"Ordered la nar and baby egg rolls, the baby egg rolls were served with a cup of sauce and a garnish of ROTTEN lettuce, the lettuce didn’t touch the egg rolls so we ate anyway, the food was all good, however before even leaving the restaurant I ended up getting very sick.Please check your expiration dates etc."

"Today, I ended up at Sushi Train as my second choice for sushi due to a long wait at the other restaurant I wanted to go to. Despite this, I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Sushi Train. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food made for a great dining experience. We opted to order from the menu rather than from the conveyor belt, and were especially impressed by the side seaweed salad. The variety of rolls we tried - including the Wow, Rock and Roll, Lava, and Sushi Train rolls - were all unique and tasty, with the Rock and Roll and Lava Roll standing out as favorites. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to others."
