"Thursday, 25 October 2018 VERANDINA---REVIEW: hello. I visited verandina ende august for birthday dinner with friends. it was fantastic. the food and service was great, and it was packed and sunny. I would have recommended it to everyone until the second time I visited verandina was with my parents on a Sunday night. we were the only ones in which my father wanted to sit. there were a few with dog and baby on the terrace. when we waited, a man waved in a hurdle his poor and began to call a waitress that she should clear the tables and chairs and turn the lights up. it does not seem to be isolation in the inner, so it echos. our orders lasted 40 minutes to arrive. we got beer. we also waited for them, and the waitress returned with two coronas and reported that there was no heinekin. later his corona arrives. dad ordered the special that was picked on risotto. it looked good, and he said the rice was delicious, but the fish had no taste. he's hard to please. Mom, I ordered the lachsburger. the fish was dry, but the pommes were hot. meanwhile, constant barking and weep out of the terrace. the man in the apron I took as manager went moderately between bar and terrace and spoke about his cell. the waiting staff began to speak loudly when three people came in and sat at the bar. you went towards the kitchen and started a LOUD talk there. the two men sat at the bar, and the waiting staff visited loudly with them as they were long lost friends. we felt completely forgotten, and my mother was not amused. she kept showing me misconduct and said: “I see it too.” So, dry fish, belligerent dog, weeping baby, wait with the staff and customers. it would have been better if they had given us more attention. I couldn't wait to go! I'm sorry to give such a terrible report, but someone should know. liz terland (619) 400-7497"

"Real Sicilian Fare, Wonderful Cocktails, Housemade Limoncello. I have been to Gigi 's a number of times since it 's opening. This is a wonderful place to have a relaxing dinner or sit at the bar and enjoy cocktails and appetizers with friends or a date. The food has always been phenomenal-with an emphasis on quality fresh ingredients that are allowed to shine without the over seasoning that so often occurs at many restaurants in our area. I shouldn 't be subjected to the overpowering scent of garlic in the parking lot which happens at many eating establishments in WNY. On our most recent visit I enjoyed the Panelle-described as Sicilian Street Food. This mouthwatering appetizer is what can best be described as a fritter, made with chickpeas and deep fried. Cooked to perfection with a light, thin crust, the inside was hot creamy goodness. Served with a lemon aioli and caprese salad. It was apparent the tomatoes were freshly picked, and this was confirmed by the owner who said they were from her garden. My son and I split a dozen steamed clams, which I have had a number of times. They were plump and fresh, served with drawn butter and lemon wedges. These never disappoint. I enjoyed a Blood Orange Martini before we ate. This was very nice-not too sweet. The waitstaff is always pleasant, accommodating, and attentive. They are knowledgeable about the menu and if they are not sure will happily ask the chef. The owner is dedicated to supporting local businesses and farms, and this is apparent by the quality of the food she serves. The bartender, Gino is friendly and also happy to share so of his favorite dishes as well as sing an aria! He is an amazing and talented baritone. Don 't forget to try the Housemade Limoncello!"
