"this is a prime restaurant for brunch with friends. the Margarita flights are bombed. eating is always fresh, hot and tasty enough to enjoy good entertainment. "the first time to eat here to celebrate the holiday with a friend. we were the first there at 11::00 a.m., but still the service was terrible. No one was there next to us, but it was obvious that the personal was new and still in the learning curve. they were from the tiramisu bit we waited 20 minutes to advise us about the fact after we put an order for dessert. the personal was not knowledgeable at all. several other groups came in after us and it was very difficult to hear each other."

"Hi! My name is Camille and I visited John’s for the first time today! I am not from the state of New Jersey. I was traveling and starving so as I was going back to DC, I saw this store and decided to give it a try! I wanted to say that this place exceeded my expectations and more! The lady at the front (Caucasian lady) greeted me with a smile and even complimented my scent. She was so kind, warm and pleasant. She took my order very swiftly and got my sandwich done in 10 minutes. My food was hot, fresh and delicious! She even brought my order out to my car! I don’t know who the owner is if this establishment, but I will say that this place will definitely prevail as they treat their customers with respect and care! "At the suggestion of a friend, I came to Ris for the meatloaf dinner, which they only serve on Mondays (if there are leftovers, they'll add it to the Tuesday lunch menu). It is served with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered the spaghetti squash with hazelnuts, cheese, and pomegranate pips. And to drink, I had the raspberry lime Ricky (non-alcoholic).The entree was tasty and satisfying. I wanted to like the side dish, but it ate a little too sweet for me. I ended up watering down the Ricky a bit to tame the sweet-tart drink.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance didn't seem very easy for mobility impaired customers to navigate without assistance. Not only must the two doors be held open, they are not aligned with each other."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. My friends and I decided to visit after being turned away from some of the trendy spots in Southport on a Monday night. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a few beers. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent and provided us with great recommendations. We were amazed to discover that all drafts were only $4 after our second round of drinks. The food, including tenders and fries, was delicious and perfect for a bar setting. The restaurant had a large selection of drafts, a great patio, delicious food, and excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Oh my goodness! If I'm craving a delicious Käsesteak, this is my top spot. Without a doubt, their cheese steak sandwiches are the best in the Columbia area. They're far superior to the overpriced options available at the mall. The sandwiches are filled with fresh, never frozen, beef steak and there are plenty of topping choices. "Food tasted horrible! I have order from them in the past with no issues. Today I was delivered overcooked chicken finger that tasted like they got cooked with a plastic wrapper. When I called they said it's the new way they bread using bread crumbs now. When I told them they were overcooked I had to drive down to try and get issue fixed. Both the cashier and manager said that's how they look they now. The chicken was dark not golden brown at all. They did nothing to compensate for inconvenience but give me 6 additional fingers that are slightly lighter but still tasted the same. All in all I went home with 16 pieces of chicken finger trash, no refund, and still hungry. Almost forgot she offered me a free ranch lol what a joke. I even asked if I could get wings instead since they still make them the same according to cashier. I was told they can only replace what was ordered. Worst experience I have ever had in this establishment. Long time customer lost! I never leave reviews good or bad and the fact I am now says a lot!"

No one offered Parmesan cheese for our Italian food???? Went to order a different glass of their “ house” wine and they didn’t have any. Brought the second beer that was ordered with dinner after we were done eating. Never saw the person who took our order again as she was taking 20 minutes to make someone else a drink. This kind of service and the place won’t last. The food was good at moderate prices but the service was so very bad."

"We were looking for a good steak, and decided to give Ribeye and Rye a shot. Various websites indicated that Thursdays were “Steak Night”. Typically that means there is a discount on steaks. That was not the case at Ribeye and Rye. Their Steak night consisted of a free dessert with ANY entree, not just steaks.We were pleasantly surprised with the Ribeyes! They were well seasoned and very meaty. The quality was great and well worth paying full price!!I deducted one star only because of the dessert. They could have definitely kept that!! It was supposed to be a strawberry shortcake. Instead we received a tough piece of angel food cake with some whip cream and strawberry sprinkles. If you are going to put that as a freebie… please make it a good one or allow your patrons to order a dessert off the menu!!"

"New Years Eve celebration was more expensive than should have been based on what was provided. Unfortunately we thought we were going to just have dinner, since there was no New Years Eve celebration details mentioned on the website. Once we arrived it was explained that it was a fixed menu that cost plus drinks, other than the glass of champagne at The total meal with a bottle of wine and an already added tip cost I little pricey for a shared appetizer, two mixed grill entres, desert and a bottle of inexpensive wine. On the bright side, the grilled meats were enjoyable as was the milk custard dessert."
