"Do not stay at this hotel! We were there for a Cubs spring training game, so the location is perfect! But that is the ONLY good thing about this hotel. We checked in around 9:00 pm. We were told that we may or may not get housekeeping service during our stay. Hmmmmm…..not a good start. Went to Stats bar for drinks and food. We weren’t able to get food at that time and the bar staff was obviously inconvenienced by us wanting a drink or two. Horrible customer service. That night we could not get our room to cool and slept horribly due to our room being so hot! Notified the front desk the next day and we were moved to a different room on a different floor. Moved our stuff and found our new room was not much better. The safe didn’t work, the bathroom sink was obviously plugged and was VERY slow to drain, the curtain was ripped, the shower was dirty (mold), the makeup light in bathroom didn’t work, almost every tile on the bathroom floor was loose, as well as a few entryway tiles, one of the nightstand lamps didn’t work, only one elevator was operating for the very busy weekend, the pool was not maintained (trash overflowing), and if you wanted a pool towel you had to go to the front desk (and wait in line). On our last night we tried again to get a few drinks at Stats bar, only to be met with horrible service once again, and it wasn’t even busy. For the rate we paid, we definitely expected a lot more; at a minimum to just have everything work! Extremely poor maintenance and understaffed. And the staff who do work there do not care! Will not stay here again."

"I booked this restaurant for my son's college graduation celebration well in advance. I then called the restaurant to make sure that they would have meals for everyone in my party. I have a son on the Autism spectrum who has very limited palette. My dad would be with us and also eats a limited diet. When I spoke with the person who answered the phone I explained all of this and was assured that the items (chicken nuggets/tenders, cheeseburger, french fries) we needed would be available. NOTHING was said about a special graduation event menu. That was not the case, however. We arrived to find that the regular menu was not available and no accommodations would be made. Plus the special menu was much more expensive than the regular menu. We were told that there were no options, they didn't have the ingredients in the kitchen. It pretty much ruined our celebration. We did eat at the restaurant but only because at that point we couldn't get in any where else on such a weekend. I was very upset, disappointed, furious. Had I been told when I made the reservations through OpenTable, or even when I called and spoke to the restaurant, that there would be a special event menu and that the dishes we needed would not be available, I would have made other arrangements. I felt very deceived. I probably will not go back to this restaurant at any time much less a special occasion!"
