"Took my 10 year old grandson there today and we both enjoyed it very much. When driving through Turkey Creek headed for the Mellow Mushroom my grandson saw the Steak n Shake sign sand remembered eating here years ago and he loved their Chocolate Milkshakes and decided he wanted to go here instead. The last time we were here they took orders at the table, but now they take your order at the counter. The lady that took out order was friendly and attentive. My grandson is no frills, #1, with plain steak burger, no cheese or anything, and likewise a plain Chocolate Milkshake, no whip cream or cherry. I had a #1 with no tomato. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes or so and everything was perfect and delicious. My grandson especially liked that the burgers were juicy, and also the thin shoestring fries."
