"Took my 10 year old grandson there today and we both enjoyed it very much. When driving through Turkey Creek headed for the Mellow Mushroom my grandson saw the Steak n Shake sign sand remembered eating here years ago and he loved their Chocolate Milkshakes and decided he wanted to go here instead. The last time we were here they took orders at the table, but now they take your order at the counter. The lady that took out order was friendly and attentive. My grandson is no frills, #1, with plain steak burger, no cheese or anything, and likewise a plain Chocolate Milkshake, no whip cream or cherry. I had a #1 with no tomato. Server was very nice and went out of her way to help us. Great experience. Really enjoyed the western burger and garlic burger. Onion rings are good and milkshakes are terrific. Good variety on kids menu. Food took a little longer than normal to come out, but they were slammed at the moment. Will go back.

We went to the S&S off Parkside Dr in Knoxville. The food was good, but we wanted to give Ella a kudos. We have a very clingy and hyper 5 year old foster child. He loved Ella and kept talking to her. He can get overbearing, but she was very sweet and patient with him. She was working very hard running around and doing a bunch of stuff. Our kid spilled his drink and she came out, mopped it up, warned me to be careful not to slip, remembered his drink and replaced it, all while taking orders and cleaning the restaurant. Y'all are very lucky to have an employee like Ella.

I only go through drive through and I can say this is the most consistent place I 've been to by far good service the only reason it 's not 5 stars is because I specifically ask for my food to be made fresh because I drive home before I eat so i don 't want cold food sometimes they make sure I burn my fingers on the fries and sometimes it 's very clear they don 't care that i just requested for fresh food and just give me whats been made for a few minutes barely warm.
