"I love Smokey Bones, so it hurts me to have to write a bad review for them. I travel a lot for work, and I eat at Smokey Bones in several other cities. Normally I don't have a problem with this location, and when my parents visit from TN, my dad loves this place. However, on my last visit, we had 6 people at our table. We ordered an appetizer of cornbread and our drinks. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and the cornbread was even later. Keep in mind, we ordered water with our cocktails, which we never received. We watched out waitress serve all 7-8 tables in the restaurant while other employees sat at the bar, or stood by the food window talking and laughing. After 40 minutes with no food or water in sight, we asked for our check. The waitress apologized profusely and said it was only her SECOND DAY! I felt sorry for her because it was obvious she needed help and no one, not even her manager, did anything. I asked to speak to the manager to tell her this, and the manager BLAMED THE EMPLOYEE, which I found extremely unprofessional and downright rude, considering our waitress was the only working body outside the kitchen. I have not returned to that location even after they gave us a gift card for our next visit. It will sit on the shelf until I go to another city because I won't go back to this location for a long time!"

"Wifey and I were down here on a college visit with my daughter and decided we wanted some BBQ. We searched Yelp and some local recommendations and nothing jumped out at us so we asked the woman at the front desk and she recommended Smokey Bones. It wasn't until we arrived that we realized this was a chain...and while chains tend to be pretty consistent with the quality and taste of their food I haven't had great experiences with BBQ chains. We were seated immediately and both wanted a beer. The selection here is limited so we ordered a Sam's Octoberfest and a Lagunjtas Little Sumpin' Ale. We also ordered fried pickles for an appetizer...they were delicious. For our entrees we both got combos. I ordered KC ribs and pulled pork, baked beans and Cole slaw and Wifey ordered KC ribs with brisket, baked beans and baked potato. The food was good...it didn't blow my doors off, but it was good. My ribs were a little fatty, but Wifey's were meatier (luck of the draw). The pulled pork was a little dry, but they had some delicious sauces on the table. Wifey thought the same about the brisket. Both of us thought the sides were great beans, cole slaw and baked potato were all great. The service was a little slow, but our waitress Kiki was pleasant and kept checked in with us. Prices were a little high for what we got, but it's kind of a touristy area so I expected that."
