"I was skeptical right away when I opened the Pad Thai and found a lemon instead of a lime. It was clear to me that the authenticity of the dishes was lacking, and the overwhelming sweetness was off-putting. Then I tried the Crab Rangoon, and to my surprise, I could barely taste any crab; the cream cheese filling was overly sweet, almost like it was made for dessert rather than an appetizer. A reminder to the chef: Crab Rangoon should not contain sugar in the filling!
The dipping sauce that accompanied the Rangoon was an excessively sweet, corn syrup-based concoction. It would be refreshing to see a more authentic dipping sauce that reflects modern Asian cuisine rather than something so overwhelmingly sweet.
At this point, I'm struggling to find the right words to describe the disappointing meal I just had. If I wanted dessert, I would head to a pastry shop. I expect more from an Asian restaurant; please consider reducing the sugar and exploring other savory ingredients to enhance your dishes.
Lastly, I ordered the Chicken Rice Soup, and I have to express my disappointment yet again. This was not soup as I know it. It was essentially a cup of rice swimming in half a cup of broth. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to rename it “Soggy Rice Gruel.”
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience."
