"I have visited Esperanza multiple times, sometimes just for drinks with my husband. However, this time I made a reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday, as it was her first time there. The food was okay, but our experience was marred by the hostess, who made us feel discriminated against. When she tried to seat us right by the entrance, we asked for a table farther away from the constant flow of guests coming in. Despite there being several open tables, she insisted they were reserved for larger groups. Even on a quiet Tuesday night, these tables remained empty. When we asked to split the table due to limited space, she seemed displeased and had to consult with the managers. Eventually, a manager agreed to our request, but the hostess was unwelcoming when she returned. The small table size made it difficult to enjoy our food, as dishes arrived one by one and felt cramped. When we asked for an extra table, the hostess's response made us feel unwelcome. As a local and paying customer, I felt our requests were reasonable, but we were left feeling discriminated against. Our experience was unpleasant, and I will not be returning to or recommending Esperanza to others. It is disappointing that in this neighborhood, not fitting a certain profile can result in disrespect. I urge the owner or manager to provide training to the hostess on how to treat all guests with respect, regardless of their background. Our requests were reasonable, and she should prioritize her work over personal distractions with her cellphone. The current treatment of customers like us is damaging to the restaurant's reputation."

"Ordered takeout which included a large guacamole. Thought the guacamole wasn’t included and called the restaurant. Turns out that the container full of lettuce that I thought held the toppings for my quesadilla was what they consider a large guacamole. So shady! Do yourself a favor and don’t order guacamole to go just get it from the Chipotle above the restaurant they actually know how to fill a container with guacamole. Super lame Mezcaluna! "An all-around nice spot in Beverly Hills to grab some good Mexican food and drinks. The atmosphere is open with a welcoming yet refined ambiance. The service was super friendly and attentive too. The food is on the pricier side, but pretty tasty and a good stop between shopping in the area. They have daily lunch specials from 11 to 4 pm and AYCE Sunday Brunch for about $50 with a Bottomless Mimosa add-on for another $25. Very tempting, but I'd probably get kicked out of the stores after being blitz. Anyways, I came here for lunch and tried their Maracuya and Watermelon Mojito for drinks. The Maracuya was an all around good cocktail with the smoky mezcal. I asked for it a little spicy and they added some jalapeños for me. The Watermelon Mojito was like summer. Very juicy, sweet, and bright! For food, they are known for their guacamole so definitely went with that. It came with a citrusy green salsa and a smokey hot red. Pretty good and great for sharing. Really fresh guac that is light and airy being a good mix between chunky and smooth. I also got their Mole Poblano. Super delish and highly recommended! The mole was sweet and deep with smoky notes. It was served over some shredded chicken that was cooked percectly! It came with some rice, plantains, and tortillas to build a taco. Really good mix of carbs! I enjoyed every bite and would get it again. All in all, I enjoyed this place! Aside it being a bit pricy, it had good service, food, and ambiance!"

"While the food was quite good (nothing that stands out in particular), the service took WAY too long. I was quite disappointed in how long it took to be initially greeted by our server as the restaurant was not busy at all (15 minutes too long). Though she was friendly while at the table, having worked in the service industry I find it unacceptable to be that unaware of your tables that you would allow for 10-15 minutes to pass before approaching. With that being said, I'd probably go back and sit at the bar to eat as the atmosphere is pretty cool and I'm sure the bartenders are more aware of their customers. Hostesses were very welcoming and friendly as well."

"I wanted to love this place because it looked like a small, local spot. After 50 minutes of waiting, I decided to just get my order to go. When I got home, I saw they had my order wrong. I told them twice how I couldn’t have sour cream, but my burrito was filled with it. I wasn’t able to eat it and felt like I wasted my time and money."

"first it doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as they go into the facility is nicely put together very well o they also have a Sunday brunch with mariachi. as far as the personal is very friendly and attentive to the customer. I had chickens very tasty my son had a quesadilla that he enjoyed very much, I don't want to fry but the beans and rice that they served with the dish, where amazing I was blown away, they reminded me of my tante bohnen and rice on a notiz it is worth a little expensive but they pay what they recommend for very well, they also have good"

"we have a reservation for 12 in advance. the service was bad and we felt that they didn't want our business from the moment we arrived. we waited for an eternality to place our order and had to demand refills for our limonade. the restaurant was not busy, it was a week night. "*Brunch Review* $36 bottomless brunch or $16 for an entree a la carte and $7 drinks. Not that many options. They only really had the banana pancake style brioche for true brunch food and the rest were normal Mexican entrees, so probably better for lunch than brunch. The drinks looked good but it was a little early for cocktails. Overall, great atmosphere, nice staff, fun spot, and beautiful food presentation, but I thought it looked better than it tasted. I didn’t love my meal (the Pan Frances) especially for the price, but my friends liked theirs and we still had a good time. I probably wouldn’t go back for brunch, but maybe for happy hour or dinner."

"beautiful farm seats and delicious Mexican cuisine, what could be better? the small side of guacamole was not so good, but the waiter took it back and removed the charge from our bill. I had the combo crispy shredded bark taco and cheese enchilada, which comes with rice and bean, much to take after home and snack the next day. we skipped the drinks because we drove, but the next table had a sangria who looked amazing. definitiw will go back when in the southern bay. thanks for panchos"
