"we had some friends visiting from the state, and out go-to Italian place is closed for the slurry season, so we decided to try giampietro based on the same level as our favorite stretch italian restaurant. unfortunately, eating did not live until the evaluation. a lot of people had pizza, so maybe that's good, but the pasta dishes we had were a big disappointment. it began with the filled bowls my wife ordered. they were not the huge filled dishes they would expect. they were tiny. not velveeta shells n cheese tiny, but close. the filling and the sauce were uninspiring, and it lacked taste. I had cheese manicotti, but with alfredo instead of tomato sauce, and added meatballs. the Alfredo sauce also lacked taste, and the manicotti noodles felt as if they had been made a long time ago. the meatballs were simply eggs of ground beef. no real spice or taste. our guests had the baked ziti with meatballs (same problems) and the chicken marsala. the marsala tasted more like a sweet water than a marsala wine sauce, and the whole plate, like everything else, was very difficult in taste. Moreover, the staff seemed more interested in the NBA game on television than on the work in the restaurant, but I think that is the norm owner expecting us to accept these days. all in all, giampietro was an extremely disappointing experience. I hope the pizza is good, but we will never be there again. if michaels (our favourite place) is not open, we will get for another type of food. giampietro is not worth taking the chance on itself. for a meal that ordered at almost $150 without alcohol, I have now buyer remorse."

"It was a Wednesday night and we were in the area and looking for an Italian restaurant, so we decided to try out Fiorella Italian Restaurant based on their good reviews. We were surprised to find that the restaurant was packed on a Wednesday, but we thought, Hey, this place must be great if this many people want to eat here! Unfortunately, we were wrong. First, the customer service was awful. When we walked inside, there was no hostess at the stand, but there were 3 other groups waiting to put their names down on the list. We all stood there for quite some time until a hostess finally appeared. A server also came over and started flailing his arms around and telling people to get out of the doorway because they were letting out all of the air conditioning . After we were seated, it took quite a while before our server came over to us. Once he did, we ordered our food and received our salads fairly quickly, but then, we waited for our entrees. And waited. And waited. And waited. We timed it. We didn 't see our server again for 40 minutes. I take that back, we DID see him, but he was only interested in helping the other larger parties. I suppose the larger tips were more appealing to him and he just didn 't have the time for a measly table of three(? . All of our attempts to flag him down went unnoticed. We had run out of water and were dying of thirst, so we flagged down a different server who kindly sent someone to bring us some water. Tables that had been seated after us (in a different server 's area were already eating and finishing up their meals while we just sat, waiting. After waiting some more time, I finally got up to walk towards the kitchen to see what was going on. Our server came out of the kitchen and gruffly said, I know, I 'm still waiting on your food. , so I sat back down and waited. And waited. After 50 minutes, he finally appeared with our food. There was no apology, no offer of a discount for the ridiculous amount of time the food took, no free beverage for our wait, just, Here you go. I 've worked in the restaurant business and this is not the professionalism one would expect. The food itself was also disappointing. The portion sizes were huge which, based on the older demographic that mostly occupied the restaurant, I 'm guessing most people loved, but QUANTITY does not equal QUALITY. I ordered the Salmon Piccata and it was DROWNING in some kind of red sauce with tons of overcooked spinach below it. Definitely not the light lemon butter wine sauce that it should have been in. We also ordered the Linguini Frutta di Mare. The seafood did not taste fresh at all. The two good things this restaurant had going for it were the attentive bussers who cleared away our plates quickly and brought us more bread and the singer that was hired for the entertainment. He was very talented. Sadly, those are two things are not enough for me to recommend anyone to come here and we will definitely not be back."
