"I called late in the day and got a reservation. When you walk in the door, the aroma hit you and in Italy. Deena, our server, was absolutely great; friendly, engaging, helpful, cheerful, all-around, great person. Order the calamari, which was delicious. I couldn't decide, so I ordered the pasta combo and my wife the shrimp/ scallop Alla Rosa. Garlic bread was great, butter and garlic poured over bread, salads awesome. The food was simply outstanding and plentiful, bringing home leftovers. Wished I lived near, this would be at minimal, a once a week place to come"

"I have been to Carmelo's many times and usually love my meal and can't wait to go back. Tonight was a different story. My boyfriend and I made a reservation at Carmelo's to celebrate our anniversary as it's usually one of our favorite places. Tonight it took a very long time for us to get our drinks, my boyfriend asked for lemon for his water that he had never received. We then got our appetizer after a little while of waiting, which was fine. After we saw tables around us who were seated after us receiving their bread, we then had asked for ours because we never received it. After maybe a little over an hour of being at the restaurant we got our food. I got the shrimp and scallop limoncello, which I have gotten many times there. It had diced tomatoes in it that were uncooked (along with the usual sun dried tomatoes) and this wasn't something that was changed on the menu, if it was I would have asked for it to be left out of the dish. The sauce also seemed to be extremely watery tonight. Eventually our waiter boxed up our food and asked if we wanted dessert, we got one and asked for it to be for to go and for the check. At this point we have been here for an hour and a half. He brings the check and we put the card immediately in as we are sick of sitting outside and waiting. The waiter proceeded to take the bill and talk to the table next to us for over 10 minutes with our bill in hand. No exaggeration. Just five minutes short of being at our table for 2 hours is when we finally were able to leave, as we had a 7pm reservation. Maybe this was an off night for Carmelo's, I really hope it's not the new normal here, and I may just be exceptionally frustrated as we had sat there waiting for a lot longer than we had ever experienced at Carmelo's before. We saw many tables of two that arrived after us come and go before we had even received our check."

"It was my day off so i decided to take myself out to lunch. I always like to come to Cibo because the food is amazing and the staff is always welcoming. "Wonderful place as always. Food is great. I think the chef needs to work practicality of plates. We had our dinner served on chunky bread boards one with an iron skillet on it. Though this looked attractive the poor waitress could not hold them. The chicken end up on floor and the ketchup landed upside down on luckily the table. The other sauce on the board dripped off the sides. After waiting for my partners new plate of Chicken my stake was stone cold. We laughed about it all and did enjoy our selves."

"I 've been to Carter 's Landing a number of times since it opened. At the beginning, the service was fantastic with the staff being very energetic and going out of their way to make the experience wonderful. The menu was extensive and creative and the food was served hot and delicious. I went last Fall around Thanksgiving and was not at all impressed with the service. The place was very quiet with few diners. Rather than seat the guests in one of the dining areas the staff had us seated all over. With a small staff they couldn 't look after the guests properly. Service was extremely slow, food was delivered cold and was all around a very poor dining experience. I said I wouldn 't go back. Well, I was looking for a place for brunch and saw this available so decided to try it again. There was no mention of a buffet only and the website only showed a brunch menu. As my last visit, the service was horrible. We ordered coffee to begin and when it was brought about 5 or more minutes later, the server didn 't bring milk and cream, even after asking if we wanted those when we ordered the coffees. Then, a few minutes later she only brought 2 milks and 2 creamers. It was the same for our refills! The buffet at $22 a person was sparse. The 'kid ' making the omelets, crepes and waffles seemed well out of his element. Omelets were stuck to the pan, over cooked and only one at a time. Not much better on the crepes. The rest of the buffet, which consisted of 3 trays of hot items and a small table of cheese, fruit and deserts was not enough. Hot items were cold and uninspiring. It 's sad that Carter 's Landing seems to be so mismanaged because the location is absolutely perfect and begging for a place like this should be, but the bad management, poor service and lack of food quality is going to spell the end of this place which should be absolutely thriving! It 's sad actually!"

"that was our first (and last) time here. Eat was delicious, but we felt like in a factory and the personal was like robots our main thing came out too fast before we were made with our salates, but the salates were quickly removed without considering that we want to finish them (our there is no place on the table for all teller) to make for our main thing. then we were forgotten after the main thing was dropped. I flew our server to fill my empty waterglass and they did just that. the other empty glasses do not fill in the table and it was super loud! we were chatting at a table in the kitchen and the server hanging out there and contributed to the noise level. again the food was delicious, but for the prices, we had a better experience."

"My husband and I decided to have a nice lunch today and chose to go to DiMaggio's Trattoria in Port Washington. We had heard that they had a wide variety of options and prices to choose from. We were pleasantly surprised! Dave ordered linguini puttanesca and a glass of Monteplciano while I opted for a pizza. The food was delicious. Our waiter, Phillipe, was very friendly, and the owner, Eddie, was also welcoming. We initially didn't plan on having dessert, but Eddie insisted that we try his wife's freshly baked chocolate cake. It turned out to be the best chocolate cake we've ever had. Eddie even treated us to shots of Limoncello to end our meal perfectly. We felt like we were part of the family at DiMaggio's Trattoria. We will definitely be returning and have nominated them for the My Pleasure! Customer Service Excellence award. Well done, DiMaggio's Trattoria! Thank you for the outstanding customer service."

"Far from traditional, you should know what you're getting into going in. I was there on a Friday night and the Atmosphere was a blast. Definitely a rowdy clientele, so don't go if you want a quiet evening. Classic red sauce Italian, though a bit much sugar in the sauce for my taste. Great value. Service wasn't amazing, the ticket time on the bulk of our meal ran up the about 75 minutes, and the staff could be rude (depending member to member), though I think they have a particularly tough job to do and so I can't begrudge them for it.Overall, I'd be happy to go back with a large group."

"The lasagna we had was 'very ' good, though at $20 a dish it was more than a bit pricey (adding a salad was another $3.95 . The portion was 'huge, more than a mere mortal could/should eat at one siting. We brought half of our two lasagna dishes home. It was suggested that we simply come in and ask to split one lasagna dish for the two of us they will even cut the serving in half and give each diner their portion. (Sounded like an excellent idea. Bread is free, but only if you ask for it a bit inconvenient for new customers, who don 't know to ask. Ambience was pleasant enough sorta like the old Marie Callander which used to be there. Would recommend this restaurant give it a try."
