"the steak was not rare, the server had specially cut us into it to see if it was to our joy when we told her it was not rare that she went and got the manager and owner. they came by to do so when they were looking and going on when to tell us that it was rare and the situation rejected. What was the point of asking us if they make a big thing about it for 1 and 2 don't try to correct it, just say we lie and go away?"

"My wife and I chose Hiro 88 for our New Years Eve dinner. Everything exceeded our expectations! We were seated promptly (we had a reservation), our server appeared promptly, our drinks and appetizer came in a very short time and our meals also were delivered in a perfect timeframe. The apps and sushi were excellent and our server checked on us several times. For a very busy night, everything was flawless, from the host/hostess, our server, and others that brought out drinks, apps and entrees. This is a team concept that works really well. We highly recommend Hiro 88 for a friendly, efficient and excellent dining experience!"

"I ordered food for my friend that was at Motts in Ann Arbor and not only did the pizza show up on time, Michael the delivery driver waited for my friend to go down and get the pizza! "Nice Japanese restaurant in Stone Oak. Walked in and was immediately greeted and given the option to pick any table as it was not crowded. Waitress was very prompt in bringing drinks and taking the orders. She was very friendly and did a great job of constantly stopping by. Ordered the soft shell crab and calamari frito as appetizers. There's not many places to get soft shell crab, so had to try it. It was well-prepared and plated nicely. The batter was very crunch and the soft shell crab very flavorful. The calamari frito was a nice surprise too. It was thicker and sushi grade squid instead of the thinner calamari at most places. For the meals, ordered the Karaegi Chicken, Combo Yakisoba, Mini Chirashi, and two pieces of Yellowtail sushi. The mini chirashi was a nice mix of 3 pieces of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The sushi was all very fresh and of good quality. The seaweed salad that came with it was also really good; I'd even recommend that as an appetizer or side dish. The yakisoba bento meal came with a small salad, gyoza, and small rolls. The salad had a nice dressing, gyoza was nice and crispy, and rolls were what you'd expect. The yakisoba noodles were good, but the meats were a little dry. The karaegi chicken was different and in no related to karaage chicken. It must be their own dish as I'm not familiar with an actual karaegi chicken. Instead of the deep fried karaage chicken, the karaegi chicken is marinated and served in the sauce. It reminded me of a chicken dish you may receive at a Chinese restaurant. Not that it was bad, but was different than I expected. Overall, good experience as the sushi was of good quality and grade. Service was great. I'll probably return and order from the sushi menu."

"we had an early reservation on a Saturday night recently, restaurant was not busy at all! the bartender waited very slowly for us, I was looking forward to her early roles and her kalamari. they were jumping out at 17 o'clock! the kalamari was terrible, handed over and over! they have changed their recipe naturally because it was one of our favourites! my man court was garnelen stir fry and a chicken dish. both limits! our son ordered a sushi dish that was expensive and not very good. it is sad to see a restaurant go in quality and service, we unfortunately crossed it from our list of favorites! very sad as we like to support wheaton and glen ellyn restaurants!"

"Food is excellent. Fish are fresh. Portions are generous. The BBQ squid is a must try. The only negative point I have is their ordering process. Instead of having a paper with all the items listed so we can check off and write how many we want, the waitress stood there and write down what we want very prone to human error. But that's not going to stop me from going back though. First all you can eat sushi restaurant of this caliber in DE, let's keep it open.2023 07 02 Update: Overall, we still enjoyed our dinner but we were disappointed on a couple things 1) although understandably, they put a limit, still a generous limit, on the number of pieces of sashimi you can order before they start charing a .50 per piece fee. 2) the quality of fish was not good at all. They were subpar. The scallops had no taste, tasted like frozen. I hope it's just this one time and not a change of their business model. We'll probably go back but if fish quality is still bad, then probably not."

"I am giving this restaurant two stars because the sushi was really good, but the overall experience was disappointing. Despite the good sushi, the service was subpar. We were the only customers when we arrived, but four other people came in 30 minutes later and received their food before us. When we inquired about our order, we were given conflicting excuses ranging from losing our order to not even putting it in. The manager apologized, but no one gave a clear explanation for the mistake. Despite the delicious sushi, the disorganized service makes me hesitant to return in the future."

"my family and I enjoy haru sushi (now iiumi sushi) for three years. I think we discovered them first when the pandemic met and we wanted to eat fresh quality sushi from the safety of our house. haru had amazing quality to reasonable trips and offered delicious fish and sides to compliment. as they can see, our family can eat haha and the portions here are very full. for the Bento boxes they have sweet little sides that require their warm, crispy and pickel. it is all very well balanced and they will be full, only not always of the sashimi alone. for the Sashimi/Sushi tablets they will always be full and satisfied by the Sashimi/sushi alone, but they will also have many other wonderful side dishes if they want a break from the fish and also works super as lunch for the next day. some of our favorite pages are the brussel sprouts and the shrimp-Udon salad. very tasty and sometimes I just want to order this dinge although it is a sushi restaurant. although they always change their names (this is the third name change we have met) price was always very fair for the amount of food they get and quality was always good. I recommend this restaurant for celebration or just a casual nice lunch. eating is very picnic friendly. the only part is that with eating, I think the service was just okay. if the memory serves me correctly, we had a really nice waitress and an rude waiter another time."

"This has been one of our favorite restaurants and has always been great. This visit couldn’t have been worse. There was a 20 minute wait even with a reservation, so we sat at the bar. The bartender forgot to put our soup order in, so we waited like 15 minutes for soup. The grilled octopus was literally unchewable, so they took it back at brought another... same thing. This all happened while the owner just sat there drinking wine with two customers as his minions frantically ran around him. It was terrible to watch him treat his employees with utter disrespect. It may be a tough decision to go back."
