"We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed watching the chef make sushi. We had the takoyaki balls, monster maki, Chicago spicy crazy maki, seared salmon maki and a bento box with salmon. The octopus in the takoyaki balls was chewy. The monster roll was fishy tasting because of the unagi and the Chicago spicy crazy roll was packed with fish, but not much flavor or spice. The seared salmon maki was the best of the rolls, nice flavor, sauce and crunch. The bento box was just ok, lacking flavor, but liked the miso soup.Kid-friendliness: Fun for kids to sit at the sushi bar and watch sushi getting made"

"We ate here 2 days in a row because we were staying at the hotel. Saturday we had an appetizer/sushi roll and a glass of wine which was what we needed when we arrived from the airport. Sunday we had dinner. They were super busy with the hibachi tables but we sat at the sushi bar and had fabulous food and service both times! People around us seemed very happy lots of families with kids, people celebrating birthdays etc. A nice surprise attached to this hotel!!"

"We generally like this restaurant very much for sushi or Asian soup/noodle dishes. This time we had duck and a shrimp/ scallop skewer dishes from the menu. Neither were particularly good. Stick with sushi, hot pots, ramen or other soup/noodle dosages and you will have a very good meal. Deviate and you might be disappointed, as we were."

"The other reviews make me sad, I’ve never had a bad experience here and it’s hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in the Allston-Brighton area! Not many places have mushroom sushi rolls and Miyuki’s are delectable, it’s in my order just about every time. I usually order Philly and Idaho rolls at most restaurants and Miyuki’s are top-tier compared to other restaurants. I also love their miso soup. Recently I branched out and ordered the ABC roll (Avo, Banana, cucumber , I couldn’t imagine what a sweet sushi roll would taste like and I was pleasantly surprised, a whole new world has opened up for me. Their prices are great too. I always order online and if I ever add notes like “side of spicy Mayo please”, they always fulfill my request which I sadly don’t always have that experience at other places, so they pay attention here. Same thing for sodas. The guy (sorry I don’t know his name!! that greets you after you enter and helps you get your order is incredibly nice and appears almost immediately after I enter each time. I love that you can see the sushi chefs hard at work right there when you enter and I don’t mind that it’s not a sit down place, I like walking my order back home and watching a show instead :"

"I have been going here for about 15 years. I knew they had new owners and went to try it. The service was great and everyone was very polite and quick on refills. However, the food is just not the same. The ingredients were fresh and good; but, in my opinion do not expect the same as before. I also ordered the fried rice as usual. It seemed okay at the top of the bowl; but, once I stirred it I noticed how greasy it was. I was able to pour out at least a tablespoon of oil into a soy sauce dish. Please do your best to improve(or maybe it was an off day). I will not be coming back; but, I never want a local business to fail."

"Decided to check this place out since I had a $5 off coupon from GrubHub. They a 3 roll lunch combo for $16.50, and they offer quite a few rolls that you don't typically see on lunch combos.I went with the spicy tuna, negi hamachi, and crazy roll. It all tasted fairly fresh. Unfortunately the spicy tuna is really bland. The negi hamachi was by far the best of the 3.With so many great sushi places in the area, I don't think I'll order from this place again. But if you're able to get the $5 coupon I'd say it's worth checking out."

"Went there for lunch this afternoon, and was honestly surprised! The atmosphere was really relaxing and it felt nice in the busy city. The food was fresh and tasted amazing, I had a firecracker roll (recommended by the waitress) and it was awesome, my girlfriend had the pork flat noodles and the portions were very generous. "9/2/22 update: A sad state of affairs. We order and had it delivered. Something happened that I can't explain. The food, almost overnight, has gotten horrible. The menu is different, and the dishes that are still on the menu are totally different. Checkout my new pictures. The seaweed salad is a container of lettuce with a small amount of seaweed. The cucumber salad was similar, lettuce with plain cucumbers with a strange ginger dressing. Next up, the asparagus beef rolls were half raw, as you can seein the picture. The sushi rice tasted different making the sushi not taste good. And, hopefully you've read this far becausehere's where we stopped and threw the meal out. There was a bug in my Hawaiian roll. It did not look like it was fromHawaii. Must say, we will not be eating here again. We are all so disappointed because this was one of our favoriteplaces. Update: I guess I go here to much. They recognized me from before. Still great service still great food. Prices haveincreased, but where haven't they. Our new favorite sushi! Delivery time is sometimes long, I guess we aren't the only ones whothink it good. The tamago came presented like 2 hearts. Clever. Prices are great and quality is too. The aloha and ca rolls areespecially tasty. I've only had takeout, so I'm not sure about dining in the restaurant. Update: Went for lunch during theweek. The restaurant has a nice feel to it. It's comfortable inside and they have a few tables outside on the sidewalk/ in thestreet. Service was good, it wasn't busy when we were there and the staff was attentive, but not overly. And if course the foodwas terrific and we'll presented."
