"they are on the hill. very disappointed about the service and eating. the service was painfully slow, the steak was overboiled on one side, and not what I ordered. but after waiting for an incessant time, I just wanted to eat. the sides seemed like they were beaten up. willy used to be my place. not sure what is changed (own, personal,) but I will not go back."

"I'm curious. there were bones during the fish, which is not normal. either the cook did not cut it right or it was not important to remove the bones. it smells and tastes fishy and old, and there was something panko between the rice and fish on a piece nitriri (I have ordered nothing crispy)."

"JP Seafood has been around for years!! The secret, it has maintained the integrity of the quality, quantity and menu with the passage of time! This is not lost on the locals or newcomers. My favorite is the lunch menu. You can get healthy, tasty affordable selections whether it be the (preceded by Miso Soup) Bento Box or Sushi. The dinner menu (scaled down) is also available. You can dine alone or with friends, and have a view of the tropical fish tanks flush against the wall. The owners live in the neighborhood and that may also have a bearing. The sense of loyalty and responsibility to the community! I've seen many other restaurants come and go in the Neighborhood, yet JP Seafood has stood the test of time! The Bonus, Everything is so pleasing to the Eyes and that's where the introduction to any meal begins!"

"Nice place! I had the spicy stir fried udon noodles and kappa maki rolls, and my friend ordered the turtle roll. I loved the presentation, and the food was delicious. Great service as well. Will definitely go back!"

"After looking at the reviews, I thought it would be a nice spot to grab a late lunch. As I entered I realized that the restaurant was attached to a hotel...."

"Yamato seems like a nice little neighborhood restaurant that will get the job done when you’re in the mood for sushi. Where I live, I’ll admit that I’m spoiled by some truly outstanding Japanese restaurants, so my standards are pretty high. That said, I’m aware that you usually get what you pay for, and no-frills places like Yamato are a great option if you’re watching your budget. It’s thoroughly average in almost every way. The facade is plain and unexciting, but tastefully simple. The dining room has all the charm of a 1960’s insurance agency, but with less decoration. The colorful menu lacks prices and descriptions, so I suppose you have to ask the servers or be in the know. The AYCE option seems like the popular choice, but the policy (described in other reviews here) is not entirely clear if you’re new here. We dined here on a moderately busy night, and service was good when they were around, but they seemed a little short-staffed. All of our appetizers and entrees were fine, nothing outstanding or awful, but I found the sushi rolls to be a bit big and clumsy. Most couldn’t be eaten in less than 2 bites, and would fall apart after the first bite! The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, though, and were visually appealing. Beer and wine were available, but once again, not described or priced on the menu. In a town with so many excellent seafood and sushi restaurants, Yamato would not be a destination for me again, unless I was in the neighborhood as I was recently."

"This is a fantastic sushi bistro for fans of Japanese cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetarian options available, and the food was delicious. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of Sake, so be sure to sample them all."
"At lunch hour I stopped today between two meetings and all I can say is that everything was top notch from the food to the service to the atmosphere. I was not expecting much from outside however this just became my place to go to moving forward. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and amazing fresh food!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Sweet family owned business. I went with my friends to eat here before Art Walk. They had a variety of asian dishes, ranging from East Asian (Japanese, Chinese) to Southeast Asian (Thai, Vietnamese). We ordered the Teriyaki Chow Mein (I think), Spicy Noodles and the Cold Soba. They suggested the Fire Ice roll since our friend wasn’t eating much so we got that too. We were so surprised by how good the sushi roll was. The noodles also turned out being so delicious. My friend thought the Cold Soba might be her new favorite noodle dish. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Service was great. They were mindful to ask if any of us had allergies and offered to remake my Spicy Noodles if they were too spicy for me. The owners were super nice and friendly. Very down-to-earth people. Would definitely come back to eat here. I highly recommend anyone to give this place a try!"
