After being seated most of my skepticism was deceased due to super duper friendly service. Then I ate my first piece of sushi and immediately felt all of the absolute wonderful emotions that we get while savoring a beautiful/fresh/tender piece of fatty salmon. Anyone local or not looking for some sensational sushi and phenomenal service you’ve stumbled across the right place. In my somewhat diverse experience nationwide with sushi. "I get sushi from here for lunch quite often. It 's not a fancy place, think 'local Chinese food restaurant ' but for Japanese food. Currently they only do delivery or takeout, no available seating. For what it is, it 's one of my favorite sushi spots for lunch takeout. Food tastes fresh, and it 's good price."

"4.3 stars: Maki Maki is my go to spot for consistently solid sushi in New City. It’s much more affordable than other sushi spots like Kumo, yet still fresh and good. It’s definitely not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but for the price and consistency, it’s great!At this time, they’re still takeout only, but I used to like dining in as well— it’s a small space but service was always friendly. We ordered takeout recently through UberEats and the food was well packaged and pickup was easy.We got the following items: Salmon Dinner: I’m a big fan of salmon, so I liked this. You get fresh and large pieces of salmon in every form. Seaweed Salad: Always love a good seaweed salad and this one tasted fresh and flavorful. Tuna Tartar: A little too mushy in textures, but good flavors, slightly sweet, and tasty. Maki Trio: This is a great deal— 3 rolls for $18.95. We got the Spicy Yellowfin Crunch, Black Pepper Tuna Avocado, and White Tuna Avocado Rolls. All 3 were solid and fresh with a good ratio of rice and inside contents. They were wrapped a little too loosely, though. Tofu Teriyaki Dinner Box: Tofu was really well fried and had a lot of flavor and nice crispy texture. The other items were a nice addition too. Veggie Fried Rice: Pretty good and standard.The order also came with 3 miso soups and salads with ginger dressing.In the past, I’ve also ordered Hibachi noodles, ramen, and udon noodles all of which were mediocre not that good. I’d definitely stick with the sushi here, which has always been consistently good for me!"

"Great place to get sushi in NYC, the quality of the fish is definitely a notch above the average sushi spot, but also not quite as impressive as a some of the best desicated Omakase spots. It's also more expensive than the average sushi joint, but not as expensive as getting Omakase. I'd recommend the 8-piece sushi platter which is a selection of the best raw fish chosen by the sushi chef along with a single special roll for $55. You also get a miso soup and small side salad which is nice, and the miso broth was top notch which is always a good sign. That said, their sushi rice is a bit different than what I'm used to, as it leans a bit heavier on the vinegar side and is less sweet. It's still good but it does throw the flavor of the sushi off slightly. I had no issues with prompt service as some have mentioned, though I did sit at the sushi bar which was full while the rest of the restaurant was at about half capacity. They also have a great selection of sake including a few that don't cost an arm and a leg, but many pricey options are still there for the wolf of wall street suits."

"First time visit! We love Thai and sushi so thought we'd check out lunch. We got there right as they were opening. We were greeted, sat and had drinks brought to the table in a flash. We ordered apps. Spring rolls and steamed dumplings. They were good but the spring rolls weren't hot on the inside. Then we ordered. I ordered our lunch. I ordered chicken with baby corn and asked to have broccoli and then my husband ordered clear noodles with beef. They were so good. A little on the rich side but so good. The chicken with baby corn was really good also. Can't wait to return to this great spot!"

"they gave us a small salad before our meal, without asking us first, that was covered with crumb meat. we were a bit insulted especially since we had just ordered all vegan sushi. No matter, they were just nice and there are great sushi choices for vegans and most of the rolls are very cheap! my man and I have 8 roll sushi, among them 2 special rolls, for under $30! the place is really loud."

"Server was not engaged, I was rushed as my soup and lunch came out at about the same time. Hadn't even touched my soup yet. Got my check before I started my lunch. No refill of water, hot tea wasn't hot. The beef with Mama sauce was nothing like the beef with Mama sauce I've had there in the past."
