"Yesterday our first time was here and the look at the reviews in front of the hand made me a little skeptical. We still went because my friend son wanted Mexican Lol. We were greeted and immediately sat. They brought out chips and salsa right away. Our waitress came to order food and his son also wanted a cheese drop. The cheese dip immediately came with our drinks. The textur could have been a little different if she had cured pretty fast. Otherwise it was good, maybe a little more taste. We ordered a children's burrito plate, carnitas and a crazy taco. He had no complaints about his children Burrito and loved rice. The Carnitas were good, no complaints. The crazy taco was good, was just a little more seasoning maybe on the beef, in my opinion. Otherwise we had a nice experience and will definitely be back and the prices were also reasonable."

"A colleague and I decided to have lunch, margaritas, and a delicacy I enjoyed for the 1st time in life; fried ice cream! Full disclosure The food was awesome. . .we ordered the enchilada lunch special that comes with a taco, beans, rice. Between the stomach growl and eating soo quickly, we didn 't have time to photograph it! The chips and salsa were also fresh. The plates finished clean all around. That was not the only thing cleaned by the way! As we were seated to begin our experience, from our booth seat, we observed a small section of the kitchen floor, shelving, roll carts etc. That kitchen was soo emaculate, it literally blew me away!!! Although its not a logical thought, we honestly could have had lunch on that floor! How many restaurants can you say that about? I had to call the manager and assistant manger over to our table and share the compliment! Sergio and Juan were diligent at work but it is absolutely obvious how much they care about the community they serve, the people, the diversity, and the importance of service amidst these turbulent times. As a consultant, working with businesses all the time, I feel like I 've seen it all! Still, I was just glad to enjoy this level of professionalism and care. In some small way, the experience offered unexpected appreciation. Times are tough and our businesses need our support! Social distancing and safety precautions were certainly in place but I was moved in how their team obviously has created a system that works! The managers stated, 'We care for our restaurant as we do our homes. Our food and drinks are made with the same consideration. ' I received not one dime to write this review, I just write about businesses that are worth my energy and time. What a GREAT way to start my birthday weekend! They are getting it right!!! I will definitely spend many more lunches there with the skinny pineapple margarita. The fried ice cream gave my tastebuds goosebumps! Just awesome!!! "I was very disappointed with my visit to Frontera. The food was very average and the prices are now sky high! They don't take competitors coupons anymore and every dish is $8 more than it was last month! $17.49 for a quesadilla and $13 for a crazy taco..Are you kidding me? No wonder the restaurant was empty! I will go back to LaBamba or Cielo Blue. They have great food at a reasonable price."

"We had several options that day and decided on Mexican. I was hoping it would get delicious and IT WAS. It was sooo good. All of the flavors. You can tell whoever cooks they put love into it bc it's delicious. I wish it was closer to uhr house I would eat there all of the time. So, the hot cheeses dip appetizer is WAIT..... Im melting thinking about it. Omg, delicious. I have no other word to describe their food. Just super delicious. Enchiladas, burritos, Pico, everything. The restaurant was clean. Nice place for date night or family . Drinks and friendly service They were smiling when we walked in. No wait. I read it's been around for a very long time and it's rated the best Mexican around here. I knew it had to be something bc it was so good im.like,does everyone know this place has great food. Or did I find a treasure. But nope,everyone knows. And you'll be next. Give them a try. I only drank water"

"Our server's name is Juan. We generally have great service but when you're there for 1 and 1/2 hours with 1 drink that's horrible. I understand you are short staff but if you acknowledge the other tables and are able to get 2 parties of 5 6 and have a nice chat and you show yourself as someone who enjoys their job but when you come to my table of just 2 ppl and you talk to us like a robot but you chat with the other table of 2 ppl and act friendly to them then there is a problem. We asked for a refill on drinks which you said you would get but after waiting over 30 mins then we should've gotten our meals for free. Not only were you rude to us you didn't even check on us we had to flag you down. The reason why you didn't get a tip is bc of how you were to us. The best part is if you had treated us not even half of how you treated the bigger parties we would've given you more than 20%. The reason why I put that second star was bc the food was on point. Hopefully we don't get you as a waiter and if I see you coming I will request for another person."

"Love this place get a burrito à la Brasa with steak and double rice. It’s a burrito just with steak wrapped up in it and cheese covered on top of it and then rice on both sides. Can’t go wrong with that. The prices have went up a little bit since Covid and I understand that. Just make sure your rice is fresh and not hard and because I’m guaranteeing that they’ve been slow so you know it’s to have crispy rice LOL but they will make it up. Really quick service and I go there often."

"While getting my vehicle serviced at the tire shop next door and also feeling a little famished I thought, that Arribas place might be good, I 'll go give it a try. Unfortunately, in a sea of infinite Mexican food restaurants within the greater Phoenix area, Arriba Mexican Grill is simply just another one of those places. There 's also the awkward restaurant layout that has you ascending/descending a multitude of levels in order for you to get to your table, but I guess the restaurant is indeed called ARRIBA up in English). I ordered the White Sands Chimichanga which sounded good in theory, however the execution was simply poor. The over fried tortilla, lack of seasoning, and dry pork combination left the chimi less than desirable. At least the tortilla chips were good, but lets be honest, that is very difficult to mess up. The service was also not bad; the waiter took their time to describe their specials and also checked up on us at appropriate intervals. Considering there are literally 5 Mexican restaurants in a 3 mile radius of Arriba that I would much rather prefer, I definitely will not dine here again."

"Horrible customer service. Went in 12-18-21 (a Sat) at 8:55pm. I checked the sign on the door on the way in to confirm they close at 10pm on Saturdays.We stood looking at the menu board for a minute, then we turned and faced the prep line. There were three employees working on food prep for what appeared to be the next day, and one working with a customer's order. Most of the containers in the food prep line were empty and clean. So it LOOKED like they were already closing down and not interested in serving anyone. There was one customer ahead of us at the cashier area and no other customers behind us. None of the employees acknowledged us.We stood there for a couple minutes while the employees were talking amongst themselves while doing other tasks. Still no acknowledging us at all. I asked the employee nearest us what time they closed. She said 10pm and went back to what she was doing. None of them said anything about helping us. We stood there for a couple more minutes, still no acknowledgement from any employees. I said I guess you don't want our business and went to leave. They didn't say anything.I decided partway out to go back and talk to them about the poor service. I asked them to come over so I could talk to them. They all SEEMED annoyed that I would want to talk to them and that I was interrupting their conversation while they were busy ignoring us.I explained that they had horrible customer service. None of them said anything. It didn't SEEM like any of them cared. Its just really disappointing because I like Cafe Rio, but I'm not going to stand around awkwardly being ignored, or made to feel that i am inconveniencing them when there are no other customers.If you are going to be open till 10 you don't start ignoring customer's at 9. I have worked in food service in the past and it just blows my mind that four employees would so fully ignore customers."

"The food really missed the mark at this location. Last time we were here was probably 3 years ago. Initially we thought the restaurant was closed because there were only 3 cars in the parking lot, but the lights were on so we went in. The place was a ghost town, we were the 3rd party at the restaurant. My best guess was because today was a football Sunday 3 weeks before Christmas everyone was either home watching the game or out shopping. From what I could tell there was a bartender, a manager, and probably a cook in the back because service wasn 't super quick; the bartender seared us, took our order, delivered our food, and cashed us out. We ordered a nacho appetizer, chicken fajitas, brisket tacos, and steak/enchilada a plate. The food was not I appealing whatsoever. To make things worse nothing tasted fresh. I must say the nachos were pretty impressive by looks but they were boring and lacking ingredients. As my daughter said I don 't think they made our order with love! Would I go back? Probably again sometime in the future, service wasn 't terrible but for the price I paid it will be another few years again. There are so many other mom and pop shops that are competing for our business now days, so I need to start skipping the chains and keep the money local. Check out the photos I posted."

"I'd give 5 stars, but the pricing is outrageous. Someone said this place was better than Doba and Chipotle. Yes, it is good food. But I could get 2 burritos at Chipotle for the price of 1 burrito here. Here, you don't have many burrito or bowl options. Honestly, all I can say. The food is good. But pricey. If you want a good price and more options, just go to Chipotle.Kid-friendliness: I took my 2 yr old with me and the staff were nice enough to acknowledge her when she said hi and bye. Not many places do that."
