"La Catrina doesn't take reservations, but we were able to be seated as soon as we arrived. Unfortunately, where we were seated was next to a birthday party of 10 people, but we were able to be moved to a quieter spot or so we thought. However, the noise level in the restaurant was extraordinarily loud, and we had a hard time hearing each other across the table. As for the food, we enjoyed the guacamole and chips although would have loved for it to have been prepared tableside and with cilantro which was nonexistent. The La Catrina margarita with blood orange was excellent as was the jumbo shrimp in spicy, smoky chipotle sauce. Finally, a restaurant that isn't afraid to serve spicy food! My husband, however, felt the short rib enchilada topped with mole was under seasoned and skimpy with not much meat for the price. We skipped dessert so we could get our hearing back."
