"As a former restaurant manager and in business for many years, I am very picky where I eat and I am very attentive to the service and atmosphere at the meal. The Dutch family restaurant is what every place I have ever worked or managed to be after it. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is best to cook home with huge portions. All I've eaten is as fresh as I do without getting it out of the garden. Manager Ruthy is as pleasant as a person I've ever met and always makes the feeling that you've been friends for years and treated you like family. I can't say enough good things and can't think of something negative except they're only open on Thursday to Sunday. All at the Dutch Family Restaurant, thank you! Your smile and hard work do not go unnoticed and are very appreciated. Get up!"

"The first time to eat here for lunch on a perfect day. All employees were super friendly and our server was so attentive and helpful. She was perfect as she knew when she was over and checked us and how to make sure everything was just right for our satisfaction. My wife and I had filled the crab mushrooms with Cajun sauce as an appetizer and roared flounder as an entree. I have never had such an ingenious appetizer as the filled mushrooms; I could have eaten for lunch! The flounder was fresh as if he was caught that morning, and the wort and the rupture was something nobody can compete with. I had a cup of gumbo. Our server said it was the next thing she ever had to her grandmothers and believe me it tasted like a grandmother made it with love! It was in such a light red Roux and just seasoned with enough spicy heat that I had it in competition with one of the rubber sticks I had in New Orleans. My wife had a frozen strawberry Margarita, which was one of the best we've ever tried. It was sweet from sweet strawberries and had no artificial taste. They blended it perfectly with super fine ice beads and I had a perfect old fashioned mixed perfectly. I think five stars are too few for this place!"

"I had two perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with sausage and grits. The sausage was incredibly flavorful and delicious! The portion size was just right, not greasy at all. It was a satisfying meal that left me feeling happy and ready to go back to bed."

"Felt like Freddie Paul's is the next place to be presented on an episode of Restaurant Impossible. The decor was Mish Maische and outdated. The environment was just a shadow over cafeteria style. The service was okay, but not great. The food was not what I expected for the price and for the Stillwater area. My Hubby tried to stop us from going there 11 years ago on the basis of his experience, but I had never been and wanted to try. It's not somewhere I'd take a guest if we'd pour back as a treat. Click in Pawnee is much more value for food quality."
