"The staff is great, but the food is... good the Hotel Essen. I went to town for dinner, but because of the lack of parking I decided to come back and eat at the hotel restaurant. I actually ate twice, good, bad. the service is fine, the staff is friendly. I had the crab meat that had very little crabs in it. It was more artichoke than anything else. The crab cakes were really good. They had like a horseradish sauce on it, which was the perfect compliment. I didn't like the roasted Brussels sprouts because it was overcooked. The potatoes were meh. On my second trip the pumpkin soup was really good. The doll of the acid cream added that additional dimension the soup needed. However, the Carbonnara Penne Pasta lacked flavor and dry. I couldn't even finish it, nor did I want it. So, some of the articles are hit or miss."
