"For the second time in a row in about three months, the restaurant was heavily understated. The waiting staff literally ran through the restaurant. It took 20 minutes for our (non-alcoholic) drinks, 30 minutes to get our appetizers, and 80 minutes to receive our Entrées. The food was just okay, but unfortunately not worth waiting."

"we had an early reservation on a Saturday night recently, restaurant was not busy at all! the bartender waited very slowly for us, I was looking forward to her early roles and her kalamari. they were jumping out at 17 o'clock! the kalamari was terrible, handed over and over! they have changed their recipe naturally because it was one of our favourites! my man court was garnelen stir fry and a chicken dish. both limits! our son ordered a sushi dish that was expensive and not very good. it is sad to see a restaurant go in quality and service, we unfortunately crossed it from our list of favorites! very sad as we like to support wheaton and glen ellyn restaurants!"

"When we arrived our favorite “Window” Table was waiting for us to be seated. Within a moment our server, Meghan, introduced herself with a welcome smile and a fresh rose for my wife. We ordered a bottle of wine and “The Queens Crostini” as an appetizer. The wine was excellent but the Crostini was one of the best tasting appetizers we have ever had. One could make a case of ordering two of the Queens Crostini’s and a bottle of wine! My wife had a perfectly cooked Sea Bass and I enjoyed my filet with purple mashed potatoes. *For outstanding service, romantic atmosphere and food to please your palate, we highly recommend The Palate."

"Best Chinese Food in the city HANDS DOWN. I have been ordering from here for 4 years now and I am never disappointed. The food is fresh and made exactly how I like it. The steamed dumplings are my favorite I've ordered from other places around the city when Asian Harbor is closed and it's clear no one else knows how to make a proper dumpling or the proper sauce that goes with it. "The ambiance, with its low lighting, created a romantic atmosphere, and we will definitely be returning! The food was fantastic! I found the drinks to be overly sweet, but I enjoyed the Saketini, which was great if you like strong cocktails. However, the piña colada and Mojito tasted more like simple syrup and coconut cream. Overall, it's an amazing spot if you know what to order! I recommend trying a little bit of everything."

"First off, we were seated at what I think was the bar area or near it. Whatever that was, it was very dim and hard to read the menu. There wasn't any direct light over our table. Apparently that section was understaffed, let alone, maybe it was the whole restaurant that was understaffed. Our server kept apologizing for the wait of our food, which took what felt longer than expected, yet our appetizer and beverages did come out promptly. When the food was finally served, the rice was dry, one dish was a little cold, but the biggest problem of all was that two of the dishes ordered wasn't supposed to be spicy, yet, they were. The server apologized for that and had the cooks remake them. One dish came back fixed and the other came back spicy, still. One member of our party had to leave early, so we wanted to box everything and go right when those remade dishes came back and asked if we could just box everything up, and our server told us to wait, that he was helping the bartender and they have 20 tables. We were doing a lot of waiting by that point, so one of us went to the bar to get boxes to wrap our food. Then the server noticed and apologized again and tried to help with the cleanup. At that point we just wanted to go. Personally, because of all what was going down, and the fact that my dish was one of the last to be served, I didn't get much time to enjoy my meal. Can't say if I'd ever return. Understandably, it's the holiday season, but knowing that, a restaurant should have enough staff to cover for business, otherwise don't accommodate for more people than servers can handle."
