"After reading many reviews, we decided to give Red Dragon Express a try. As a native New Yorker who is particular about Chinese food, I have been disappointed in Arizona for the past 22 years. However, Red Dragon Express pleasantly surprised us. We found that ordering freshly cooked items, rather than from the buffet, was the key. The restaurant is a small takeout joint, similar to Panda Express at first glance. While there are items available on the buffet line, most appeared to have been sitting there for a while. We ordered teriyaki chicken wings, wonton soup, hot and sour soup, house special chow mein, and a combo of orange chicken. The combo had plenty of food, with a generous amount of rice, noodles, and orange chicken. The orange chicken was hot and fresh, while the hot and sour soup was spicy but flavorful. The wonton soup was one of the best I've had in Arizona, with large wontons and fresh vegetables. The house special chow mein was reminiscent of New York standards, with soft noodles, onions, shrimp, beef, and chicken. The teriyaki chicken wings were a bit overcooked but still tasty, with a sweet and sticky sauce. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would return, but would recommend ordering items fresh. It's definitely worth a visit!"
