"Food: I got the lamb burger and Greek fries. The hamburger meat was bland, but the halloumi cheese was quite a bit too salty. It felt unbalanced and not something that I would order again. The fries were relatively cold (and I always eat my fries first. My order came out last in the group, so I would have expected that they were waiting for something to cook in order for mine to come out, but from eating it, that didn 't seem to be the case. However, I 've only tried Greek food in the last year, and only a handful of times. So, perhaps it is just my inexperienced pallet. Either way, it isn 't something that I would purchase again. Service: To give the restaurant credit, I came with a larger group, and our group did not call ahead to let them know we were coming, which is on us. However, it took at least 45 minutes for someone to come to our table to even take our orders, and then another hour for the food to come out. Yes, it was lunchtime, but there were only perhaps 10-15 individuals in the restaurant when we arrived, and half of those were already eating. The server checked in with us only one time once we got the food and asked if everything was OK. One member of the group expressed disappointment that their dish with chicken was extremely overcooked and dry, and the server responded with ok and walked away. There was no attempt at an apology or an attempt to be understanding. I know that not all restaurants would replace the food, but it would have been a more pleasant experience if the response had been more empathetic. I understand having to wait as a large group, but the excessive wait and the lack of serviceable mindset it what earned them a 2 star review here for my visit. Atmosphere: The building seems to be very aptly decorated. There are beautiful vines and a lovely balcony for outdoor dining. The art and the layout gave me a very distinct Greek feel. Overall: I would be willing to try again and see if the service was better without a large group, and perhaps a different food item would be more enjoyable for me. However, it 's going to be a while before I even want to try again."

"This is a great small hometown cafe where they try to know your name and get to know it quickly. When I go there, I will always be greeted and quickly sitting. My order is accepted and the food arrives quickly and is always perfect! The place is decorated with recovered wood for the tables and decorate the sides of the cabinets and on the walls. It is perfectly clean and smells amazing! They take suggestions good and act them quickly! A few weeks ago I proposed longer straws for the larger glasses, so that the straws do not fall under the surface of the customer's drinks, they heard. Next time I entered, they had longer straws! The Benbrook café has everything I could ever ask in a café... the burgers are great, like the chicken roasted chicken and steaks. Meat is like my mother and takes me back in time. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and look forward to seeing you when you have breakfast for dinner or lunch or dinner for breakfast all with a smile! If you like traditional breakfast, this is definitely for you! This is my weekend Go To place, whether it's just me, I plus one, or with a larger group of friends. You can accommodate almost any size group I have ever picked up and are very fast to assemble tables that meet your group needs! My eggs are always perfect and the omelets are second to NONE! My request for engraving on TOP of my chicken roasted chicken is respected, and even I have days that I just want to do what I want, they do their best... also with a smile! For Desserts, they offer a rotating selection of decadent treats, the rivals of every 5 star hotel I've ever been! The desserts look fantastic and taste like the sky here on earth!!! I put my orders early for the holiday and my guests always rave over the deserts... So if you want to eat that makes you happy at an affordable price, with people who really appreciate your business and treat you well, and a place that is easy to get and makes you WANT, then the Benbrook Cafe is your place! Come early, bring your friends and often return!"

"We finally took my parents to hike Heart Falls and noticed this place on the way back. They have a lot of unique and wonderful food. I had chilli cheese onion rings, something I've never seen anywhere else, and they were one of the best things I've ever had (is that just because I've never had them before? . My wife and parents also loved what they had. I tried to order a blueberry shake (an uncommon flavor, and one of my favorites but it was 4th of July weekend and every table was full so things were slow. Eventually the manager came out and explained they were short one employee and everyone seemed to be ordering shakes with only one blender in the kitchen and he just wasn't able to make mine any time soon. Instead, he suggested dessert nachos. That's yet another food I've never seen elsewhere. The chips were more like fried pastry slices, coated with cinnamon, some liquid chocolate, plus vanilla ice cream. Put it all together and it tasted a lot like fried ice cream, which happens to be one of my favorite flavors. This place is small, so don't expect them to be able to cook breakfast food during lunch. It also has weird hours, like I don't think they're open for dinner on weekdays, so check before you go. But if you can find a time they're open and you're free, the food is wonderful. Probably the best food I've found on the mountain (I won't yet say definitely since I've only eaten here once so far ."
