"The server was very over saturated with tables. We waited quite a while before she stopped by, and again for water. She seemed totally happy and was very upbeat, very nice and congenial, but had to apologize constantly for being away so long. Our food took quite a while, and was good, except my daughter did not care for the root vegetable au gratin just wasn’t her taste. We got the famous coconut cake, which was delicious, and also the white chocolate creme brûlée, also excellent. Our first visit was not up to expectations, so maybe we will try again some other time to see if this was just a temporary occurrence."

"I was very excited to try STK after seeing such great reviews, and I 'm not here to say it was a bad time or the food was horrible, but for the price you are paying I don 't think it was worth it. The food was fine, but for a $56 filet medium rare... the middle was so rare I couldn 't chew it. Which has NEVER happened before. Every filet I 've gotten at every other restaurant for $40+ has been cooked perfectly and NEVER chewy. The $19 sides were fine- again not disgusting or anything but like... I could 've made the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts at home. The crispy brussels sprouts were literally just charred. Nothing special at all. The drinks were fine- and for $21 each we were at least hoping for good. Overall, you 're paying for the vibe lol. Defiantly could 've gone to a number of places for the same price or less for better food. The free shots thing they did in the middle of dinner (a bunch of workers walk around with a sparkler and free shots after the music gets loud and lights go dim for like 5 minutes) was cool but defiantly just proved the point that it 's not a formal steakhouse, it 's a trendy bar. Which if that 's what you 're looking for then great! I appreciate the experience and the service was great, but probably won 't be back, and if I am I 'll probably eat beforehand and just go to sit at the bar."

"Took wife here to relax enjoy a nice steak, food was good. Felt rushed the whole time everybody wanted to push us to get in and out. Didn't even get to enjoy appetizers. When I'm spending $350 for a meal I want to take my time and enjoy it. I was pushed by waiter to leave a 50 dollar tip was not impressed I tip well if I'm waited on well not pushed. So loud couldn't here what waiter was saying half time until it came to his 50 dollar tip. Probably won't be back. Good steak just wasn't treated great, or like a human, and of course we probably weren't dressed as nice as everybody else but you know high rollers don't always flaunt it."

"Maybe one of the best meals I’ve had in a year or more—capped off by great cocktails and exceptional service from our waiter, Val. He was attentive without being intrusive and took exceptional care of us. The glazed short rib was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The bread with chive oil was a delightful surprise. "This review would have been a 5/5 except for one thing. First of all the things that were amazing; the decor, the ambience, the music, the service from our waiter Loo was impeccable! And the food its self was Fantastic! Sadly though, when I went...to the ladies room, it was a shocking disappointment. There were 4 stalls/toilets in there, 2 toilets were jammed full of toilet paper and unusable, and the other 2 stalls there was no toilet paper avaiable at all. We went for an early dinner at 6 o'clock Sunday because my husband had just flown back from the UK. Clearly, the washrooms had not been cleaned since Saturday. That is a huge oversight and disappointment for a restaurant that claims to be high end."

"great restaurant with place to improve. design and ambiente are beautiful and the employees are very attentive, but they have made some cheap decisions to counter inflation. the prices here are not cheap, but also not expensive. for example, I had the chicken parm that was tasty, but they said it did not come with pasta; it was just a piece of chicken for $23. then I was told that I could not order a page of pasta, because you did not exist. my only option was to order one from the menu spaghetti pomodoro at a price of $20...for spaghetti with red sauce. seriously? so my escape was really $43 because they were too cheap to contain pasta or even a sweet with a chicken dish. for these reasons I would not return. the food was delicious, but this sense of cheapness left a bad taste in my mouth."

"We made a reservation on Open Table but when we got there were told they weren't serving dinner. We had to wait 30 minutes. We had a drink but the draft list was not up to date so we both got the wrong order. When dinner started, they only had 2 salad selections and neither were great options. "This is definitely a place that is overrated. My husband and I were excited to check it out, in hindsight I regret booking here for such a special occasion because my husband and I were very dissatisfied with the food and the service. We were celebrating his 40th birthday, don't expect to receive anything special. For starters the seat we were given was right in the middle of all of the chaos i.e. all the other tables around us. We were so close if someone bent over they would hit us, the table was extremely small, maybe 3 feet long. The food is absolutely OVERPRICED for the taste!!! My husband and I have dined at some of the finest in Dallas and had high hopes just to be completely let down. I've never been to restaurant where I was charged 9.00 for bottled water, 12.00 EACH for truffle butter and that was suggested as if that was complimentary, NOPE you pay for it. My husband had the lamb rack, which was unseasonsoned the lamb at Kitchen and Kocktails is 10 times better. I had the steak and requested medium well and it was medium rare. We had the crispy Brussel sprouts that weren't crispy and I've had better at Tupelo Honey and Town Hearth. For the additional side we had the tator tots, bleh, the inside of it tasted like instant mashed potatoes! When I tell you for the taste and quality to be this and the bill was $256.00. Let me encourage you, stick with Nick and Sam's or Dakotas. Not to mention the service, the quality of service that WE received was like the level of Chuck e. Cheese. We were only checked on to order our food and when it was time to get our ticket. The energy was just OK, just not top notch and doesn't match the dollar. It is VERY loud in this restaurant, my husband and I were at little 3 foot table and had to scream in order for us to hear one another. Take your risk and visit at least once, but it won't be a go to for us."
