I had the Prime Rib, which was perfectly cooked and so delicate a knife was not used. Husband had the Scallop Risotto. Perfection! "Our son’s favorite restaurant. Salad bar is usually clean and tidy. This visit, there must’ve been a lot of patrons because several of the containers were nearly empty and the dressings were mixed together. The salad dressing area was pretty messy. Our food was good though."

"The onion soup was cold. The sandwiches were greasy. I heard another couple complaining about their food right behind us, seems that their dinner was swimming in grease. I was supposed to get a surprise birthday desert with a candle for my wife and that didn't happen. Overall, for the price I would have done much better at the West End or the Brick Tavern. I can't believe that these guys are so much more expensive. Very disappointed. First visit, last visit. Way to impress your customers."

"I haven't been here since it was the Eagle Rock Diner. Or, I should say, since the Eagle Rock Diner was at this location because this is so much different than the old diner. It is a new building in a different spot on the property which affords customers a nice view of Manhattan.Everyone in our party was more than satisfied with their meals which ranged from a cheese omelet to caprese avocado toast to an open-faced pastrami Reuben (pictured). Service was prompt and attentive and this was during peak Sunday brunch.I grew up in the area but live out-of-state now and this was my son's first visit to a Jersey diner. He did acknowledge that he didn't think these diners could be as good as I've always told him, but Chit Chat represented very well. We'll be back!Parking: The main reason it was hard to find parking was that my visit was during Sunday brunch. There is overflow parking, just a short walk away, at the bowling alley."

Overall for eating the hotel is quite good and was not busy, there was no waiting. eating was average and the service staff was excellent. while we wouldn't go back, just to go to the taphouse if we stayed in the hotel we would go."

"The rooftop was definitely a good choice on this nice warm June day. The food was fresh and good quality. The rose was light and refreshing. We sat next to the bar and the bartender was our server, he was friendly and attentive. Our appetizer and one entree came out, however the second entree was delayed (maybe 10 minutes? Without us asking, or making any comments about it, the manager stopped by our table and offered to comp the entree that was delayed. This really impressed me since it wasn't a huge deal, but they went out of their way to correct the situation. Based on this experience I would definitely go back and also recommend Rudy's to others."
