"we misunderstood what we have booked and did not know that it is a hotel bar with restricted food. that is for us. Overall for eating the hotel is quite good and was not busy, there was no waiting. eating was average and the service staff was excellent. while we wouldn't go back, just to go to the taphouse if we stayed in the hotel we would go."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We have expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"I understand they were busy tonight however i ordered at 6:05 was given a 35-45min wait. I showed up at 6:47 had no problem waiting the 5min I was told. 20min later I got my food. I get home of course everythings cold but the worse part is, everything is undercooked. The pizza is still doughy, cheese not fully melted. The fries were limp tasted terrible. The chicken cheesesteak was mostly cheese barely any chickeb. 2 stars because they had gluten free options available."

"My husband, our two little ones and I had a wonderful dinner tonight. Our waiter Anthony was very fast and not over stock, he knew the menu and gave great suggestions. The best rib was amazing, pancake was delicious and our children loved the Mac and cheese. Can't wait to try again different things on the menu."

"We've only been here 7 years ago since we haven't been out of the area. decided to come back here this weekend as we visited the area again. On arrival we were thrilled by a boy who asked us if we had reservations. Since we don't often come here, we didn't know we had to make reservations, and he had a little attitude about it that almost turned me around and left me. Fortunately, a nice girl noticed his attitude and quickly turned it around for us. She immediately sat in what could not be more perfect. Our waitress was fantastic, friendly and informative. The food was absolutely delicious and we could not ask for a more tasty meal. All in all, this is a very nice restaurant with many delicious options, from above all to choose when you enjoy seafood!"

"It was absolutely delicious! I ordered half a superior steak hoagie it was huge it had real steak not the fake stuff!! It fed two people and we couldn't finish it!! We also ordered the freshly cut bacon cheese pommes they were also so good!! 14.50 for an amazing lunch that could just feed three people!!!"

"5 STAR EXPERIENCE. The Village Inn is by far the best food on Balboa Island! My girlfriend lives on Balboa Island, so I've been driving it more often than I can count, but have never tried until a few days ago! I got the pulled pork sandwich and my girlfriend got the shell soup, both were OUTSTANDING! Also the mood of restriction is fabulous, the servers go beyond and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible! At one point in our meal even the owner came to our table to ask how our meal was (sometimes I would only expect somewhere like mastros or a high-end steak house) ... Overall my girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend The Village Inn to everyone by Newport Beach!!"

"I have gone to like a Chena a few times in the last few months and each time I have had amazing service and amazing food. Each day they have $10 lunch specials and Thursdays especially is an awesome meal. It is garlic bread with...Caesar salad at the Penny pasta with sun-dried tomatoes mushrooms and chicken with the cream sauce. The dish is absolutely amazing. I went last week with a group of five friends and everybody had excellent service as well. A friend and I decided to share a salad and a pasta . The chef was more than happy to split both on separate plates and serve them to us. And to our surprise the waitress, who was on only her third shift at that restaurant, and was single-handedly managing the whole restaurant, split the cost on each of our bills separately. My husband and I have gone this winter to her three times to have their lunch specials before we go to a movie. Each time her meal has been excellent. I will definitely be back again."

"when they are vegan, they do not get the viva la vegan go just a few minutes to pink’s pizza and pick them vegan cheese there. my vegetarian sister liked the cheese pizza, but I didn't like my vegan pizza. there was too much paprika and swirling and no vegan cheese, so it is just so rough. I understand that their target market/clients are not vegan, so I understand why they didn't really invest in the vegan cheese. I do not try to sell pizza l’vino. I say only from veganer sees, it is not worth her time / money."

"Ordered the $30 Beef Stroganoff thinking it would be a nice treat. Went to pick it up, no receipt, no big deal. Get it back to work and it's either completely the wrong order or the worst Beef Stroganoff I ever had. No sliced steak as advertised, just ground beef. Tasted like a Bolognese sauce. Paying $30 for a single item I expect it to at least be right."

"my real rating is 3.5 I feel like their food quality is not as good as pre-pandemic. it could be a supply problem. I love their choices and their servers are very good. However, I ordered a day chicken finger and pommes for lunch and it was well dimensioned. then, about a month later, the same order looked quite different. I have ordered a Greek pizza (white, olive, tomato, etc) in the last four months, which was delicious. so the pizza is probably the best to go away and again the beer selection is always good. they also have a take-out beer shop on the side with excellent choices and many!"

"I’m not sure how the reservation system works or how long reservations are held for but we were a few minutes late and given a table next to the kitchen when asked if we could wait for a different table we were told we didn’t have a reservation so we could be there or the bar. I mean if my reservation expires at least tell me so I know what to expect and why. I can understand you can only hold them for so long but please communicate more."

"had a brunch here on Saturday. this is the second time that we had brunch here and both of them were great! we sat in the outside. the personal was friendly. we started with the muddles that were really good. then the garnel and grits, also amazing. the burger and pommes were good. the burger was a bit creepy to eat with all the koleslaw, but maybe what it's doing is crazy. the fries were thick, crispy and perfectly cooked. we also had a few drinks, but I just painted a picture of my lemon basilikum blueberry that was very good. can't wait to go back!"

Was not that busy and other tables were having the same problem with the guy. Nice enough, though. Good for sports and Tuesday trivia."
