"We hosted a corporate party at the Roof. It was spectacular! From the planning phase thru execution the professionalism and customer service skills are second to none. The venue itself is perfectly laid out with several cozy areas to meet and mingle as well as large standing areas for socializing and dancing. Not to mention the view of the city from the 27th floor! Never had to wait for a drink. Hostesses mingled through the room offering to get us drinks and passing appetizers and munchies. The staff was also able to accommodate us brining in our equipment for a big new product reveal. Food quality and quantity exceeded expectations. If you want to impress your guests, this is THE place to host an event in Chicago!"

"This is a review for Thanksgiving. For a higher end restaurant we were a bit disappointed by the food. The Caesar salad was very bland. The rolls were served first and not with the meal or even the soup. The sides were good, but the portions were quite small. The turkey was dry. The worst was the dessert, it was clearly prepared in advanced and stuck back in the freezer so the whole dish was frozen when served. It really should have been plated to order. I understand saving time, but this was very much to the detriment to the dish. Additionally, having a table by the bathroom really didn’t help the situation. I really was disappointed in my thanksgiving experience."

"by the opposite, and our group was in the mood for some great food, prospects and a drink or two. the restaurant called, found out that reservations were needed for the es tab. my group became easy to a time within Cedars’ Early Book Special (steak dinner $20 and flat dinner for $25). the wine list was extensive and the riesling was delicious! our server, marcus was friendly and exceptional. all foods were cooked and served for perfection. it will definitely be a point to come back as our travels bring us through the Tri-city area."

"I went to this restaurant for an anniversary dinner and made a reservation, but it turned out to be unnecessary as there were only three couples in the entire dining room. The server was very polite and the food, specifically the Shrimpin’ Sirloin, was excellent. We were able to dine and leave in about 45 minutes. It was a great experience overall."

"My wife and I went on a Sunday night. We sat very fast in a stand. We had the Guacamole and Hummus appetizer. The guacamole could have used some salt, but apart from that it was great. We weren't finished with the appetizer when my soup and her salad came out. The toscana soup needed some cayenne pepper, but otherwise good. The meal came out before he finished the soup and the salad. We both had different types of pasta. She had the Alfredo Pesto chicken. The sauce needs some salt. I had the Cajun chicken pasta. It was spicy! That's how it should be. Overall the food was excellent and the service was almost too fast. Our server was very attentive. She was there when we needed something."

"I normally rave about the boathouse to everyone! I love it! I’ve been there many times! It’s my favorite place in Richmond to get a steak! But this visit was very disappointing. I had family visiting from out of town and was celebrating my graduation. The staff was adequate but honestly lacking from what we have had in the past. The restaurant was not busy but it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. When the food did come out, a majority of it was not hot, barely warm. One steak did not have a steak knife with it, and it took more than 5 minutes to get a knife. My New York strip was majorly over cooked. They did replace my steak, but I ended up having to get it to go because of the amount of time it took. It was just so disappointing to spend $300 on our meal and the food and service was lacking. Honestly, the visit was so disappointing that I don’t think I even want to try to come again and spend that much money to be disappointed. I’m Not one to ever complain. I can easily understand mistakes and being busy. But this visit was different. It really put a damper on my celebration."
