"The Gasthof 'special for two ' is a fantastic deal with a great variety of excellent German dishes, more than enough for two to share. The strolling accordionist engaging with tables is fun, but if you are looking for an 'intimate ' atmosphere, you might want to mention that when making a reservation, as some sections of the restaurant are more quiet than others. We would go back in a heartbeat."

"here is one of the first Japanese restaurants in new york city. I visited with my American friend for a kind of farewell party, feels like I would visit a restaurant in japan. all the dishes were very good and demanding."

"We use to enjoy Hoffbrau. However, it’s Gond downhill. The restaurant smelled of mold and like an old bar when we walked in. The menu has been paired down and there are now few food offerings and those that are there are mostly bar type food, the drinks menu remind extensive. The food we got was not particularly good. The cheese and pretzel on our sausage board had obviously been sitting out in the heat de some time. The restaurant was quite empty when we went on a Sunday at 5. Mostly what seemed to be off duty employees and industry people at the bar. I would say this is now more of a bar than restaurant. Disappointing experience overall."

"The food was bland, the pasta over cooked and swollen, the sauce flavorless, the garlic, wine, and herbs mentioned non existent. The shrimp was covered in mush and tasted extremely fishy, the tomatoes in the dish were large cubes of flavorless and watery beefsteak tomatoes. Of what we ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with added shrimp, the shrimp scampi (Romana), and the spaghetti in the eggplant Parmesan are as described above. The salads came without the dressing, the side order of garlic bread tasted like it was frozen for five years and then thrown in a toaster. The cake slices were ridiculously slim and short unlike anything I have ever received at any self respecting place. The only thing that tasted semi-ok was the eggplant parmigiana sans pasta with a dash of salt desperately needed. I highly recommend you steer clear if you want authentic Italian, or anything even remotely edible or worth the price. The sauce literally tastes like they boiled tomato paste in water without even adding salt. There was no garlic, basil, or olive oil to speak of, let alone wine. I normally don’t enjoy leaving a bad review for any business, but this was so awful with so many reviews on DoorDash that I needed to rectify that travesty. You can’t trust reviews when the people leaving them have no taste or standards. Purchase and eat at your own risk!"

"Our server was very pleasant and the manager was fantastic! He introduced himself early , offered suggestions on the wine. And then came back and said our shared dessert was complimentary as we mentioned that we were there to take an old friend to dinner for her birthday. We really enjoyed the meal, food was cooked perfectly. All of the staff were great. Mr. Mike's was recommended to us and we will definitely be back ! As well as pass along our experience to others. : : :"

"I ordered delivery from Sakana for the first time today. Big disappointment. The flavors weren't on par with Japanese cuisine. The Teriyaki chicken tasted like rosemary. The miso soup had zero tofu or seaweed. The ramen broth was one of the worst tasting tonkatsu broths I've had, in addition to the broth to noodle ratio being a 1 to 3 portion. I've been to Tokyo twice and travel all over the US for work. In my travels, I've had more Asian cuisine than anything else. Hard pass on this place. Try Mr.Max in Irving for authentic, delicious Japanese."

"We were looking forward to trying this restaurant with my husband 's Eastern European background. Unfortunately traffic from Seattle delayed us greatly so couldn 't arrive until 8:15 (restaurant closes 9:00 . The owner hostess was already frazzled with a large party nearly finished and 3 other parties of 2 so she was less than friendly. AC didn 't appear to be working or was too low. The owner/hostess/waitress was obviously in a hurry for us to order before the kitchen shuts down so wanted that right away tried to guide what we ordered. We had a Greek salad, spanakopita and shared the Ukranian platter w a variety of tastes . The food itself was good but not outstanding. What colored my opinion was the poor reception by owner (NOTE: We did NOT arrive at 8:55 pm! , her controlling a bit argumentative demeanor and lacking 2 items we were interested in without any type of apology. She needs to change her style or this restaurant is sunk."
"I applied for a frosted glass for my beer and when it did not come with my beer, I asked again. it was told by the server “they said that the beer just came out of the refrigerator” I suppose she meant that the bartender said that. waited a little time and had to ask again! the “Lobster Dunk” was ordered as an appetizer, but it came at the same time as the rest of our meal and was cold and dry. why do they call it a “Starter” and not at all, as it was described in the menu? ordered a $35 steak entree medium and it came medium rare. sent it to renew and it came back boiled properly, but swimming in butter. Someone I suspect was a manager asked: “Then they understood it right this time?” did not offer any compensation and was not to find anywhere when we were finished and ready to go. could take a lection from the keg management. my wife and I ordered the same herbal side, but they were dry and mine were soaked in some kind of poppy sauce. not consistent! the only thing that was good were the children's meals, but they should really try hard to screw up a children's castle and a quesadilla. if they spend $161 on a meal, it is not inappropriate to expect better. better eating, better resistance and better service!"

"great vibe, stellar playlist, but we had reservations and had to wait an hour before we got our food. we said a big party put the kitchen back. Unfortunately, if I make reservations, I expect these things to be taken into account. I would try it again!"

"we ate twice here. once for dinner and once for breakfast, only due to a lack of options. eating at dinner was okay, but not worth the 120$ it costs per person to dinner and a glass of wine. the grilled garnels were cold, the sweet was extremely crispy, and the baked potato could have used salt and pepper that was not easily available on the tables. the music that made me a millennial fun was an extremely depressing mix of verve, cranberries and greenday, which did not create the relaxing ambiente. the waitress, while friendly, was overwhelming. the breakfast was good and decent for quality. the service was in order, and the depressing music was less anxious during the day. the coffee was terrible."
